Yesterday, this brilliant piece of old-school marketing popped through my letterbox—and I loved it.
The design? Totally my vibe. Funky colours, bold block fonts… it instantly caught my eye. But more than that, it reminded me that there’s still so much power in offline marketing. In a world where we’re constantly scrolling, constantly being hit with digital content, this leaflet interrupted my day in the best way. It made me pause, reflect on my local community, and—most importantly—take action. No algorithms, no hashtags, just pure, tactile connection.
Even better—the design was clever. The front page tears off and turns into a mini poster for your window, helping spread the message even further. Simple, smart, and impactful.
Last year, I organised design and print leaflet drops for a few clients and they worked incredibly well. Of course, sustainability is key when going offline—choosing the right paper, the right printers, and doing everything as consciously as possible. Clearly, the Falmouth Community Collective and Penryn Printing Chambers have nailed that balance here.
Sometimes the ‘old ways’ really do still work—and when done right, they can feel even more human.
