Get ready for the ultimate weekend in Perth!! The Twin Cities Celebration Weekend is almost here 🎉

Two massive days of incredible music, culture, and pageantry are coming to the heart of Scotland this Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 June 2026 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

​The epic lineup features local legend Dougie MacLean, the iconic Red Hot Chilli Pipers, and spectacular K-Pop All Stars 🌟 This is going to be an unforgettable city wide festival celebrating global friendships with cities across Europe, Canada, Australia, China, and the USA 🌍

​The action packed schedule has something for everyone 🎶

​On Saturday 27 June from 8.30am to 7pm, the North Inch hosts the massive European Pipe Band Championships 🥁 Get ready to witness over 110 world class bands and 25 Drum Majors competing in an absolute masterclass of piping and drumming 🏆 Sample the fantastic food stalls, browse the event village, and experience the spine tingling grand finale 🎟️ General admission is fifteen pounds, concessions are ten pounds, and under fives go free 🏰

​The excitement keeps rolling on Sunday 28 June from midday to 4pm with the City of Perth Salute 🎺 This entire afternoon of entertainment is completely free with no tickets required 🙌 The fun kicks off with a dazzling parade starting at Thimblerow Car Park at midday, marching straight to the North Inch for a massive open air arena show 🎪 Pack a picnic and enjoy the incredible massed pipe and brass bands, The McAndrews Sisters Vocal Trio, The MacDonald Brothers, Ngāti Rānana London Māori Club, Julie Young Dance Studios, and military vehicle displays 🧺

​Cap off the weekend on Sunday evening at 7.30pm with the Twin Cities Celebration Concert at the Perth Concert Hall 🎼 Celebrate over seventy years of international twinning links with beautiful performances from Chansons_Chamber_Choir, Perthshire Brass, and special guests travelling all the way from our twin city of Aschaffenburg in Germany 🇩🇪 It wraps up with a massive joint finale performance of Highland Cathedral and Auld Lang Syne 🤝 The concert is free but booking is absolutely essential to secure a seat 🎟️

YMCA Tayside are so thrilled to officially launch Bears Big Adventure Trail!!!

From today all the way through to the 2nd of September you will find bears all across Perth and Kinross, we have big bears and small cubs out in local spaces, businesses, schools and community centres all waiting to be found!

Stay tuned for the launch of our app later today where you can find our bear trail map to start searching🐻✨🐻
