This happens on more websites than you’d think.

Someone lands on your site, likes what they see, and is actually interested in your business…

But then they can’t quickly find your phone number, your contact form is hidden away, or they have to jump through five hoops just to send a message

Most people won’t bother.

If contacting you feels difficult, people will often leave and try someone else instead. Harsh, but true.

A good website should make getting in touch feel easy. Your contact details should be clear, visible, and simple to find on every device, especially mobile.

Sometimes businesses focus so much on the design that they forget the whole point of the website is to encourage people to actually make contact.

The fewer steps people have to take, the more likely they are to enquire.

If someone lands on your website and can’t instantly understand what you offer… you’ve already lost them.

It sounds harsh, but people make decisions FAST online.

Most visitors will give your website just a few seconds before deciding whether to stay or leave. If your homepage is full of jargon, unclear wording, or tries to say too much at once, people get confused… and confused people don’t enquire.

A good website should answer three simple questions almost immediately:

What do you do?
Who do you help?
Why should someone choose you?

It doesn’t need clever buzzwords or paragraphs of waffle. Clear, simple messaging nearly always works better.

Sometimes, the smallest wording changes can make the biggest difference to how many enquiries a website gets.

Ever clicked on a website and given up waiting for it to load?

Your customers do exactly the same thing.

One of the biggest reasons websites lose enquiries is simply because they’re too slow. People expect websites to load almost instantly now, especially on mobile phones, and if they don’t… they leave.

There are loads of reasons a website can become slow over time. Old plugins, huge images, outdated software, cheap hosting, too many add-ons, or simply a site that’s never been maintained properly can all have an impact.

It’s a bit like a car really. You can’t expect it to run perfectly forever without servicing it

A slow website doesn’t just frustrate visitors either, it can also affect your Google rankings, meaning fewer people even find you in the first place.

The good news? Most of the time, it’s fixable.

Sometimes a few updates, optimised images, or better hosting can make a massive difference to how your website performs.

The good news is we can help !

Your website should be working for you 24/7, not just existing.

It’s easy to think “well… at least I’ve got a website” but having one and having one that actually works are two very different things.

A good website should be doing the heavy lifting in the background. It should be helping people understand what you do, building trust before they even speak to you, and making it simple for them to get in touch when they’re ready.

If that’s not happening, it doesn’t mean your business is the problem… it usually just means your website isn’t set up to support you properly.

The good news is, it’s often not a complete overhaul that’s needed. Small changes can make a big difference when they’re done in the right places.

It’s a question we get asked a lot… and honestly, it’s not about having more on your website, it’s about having the right things.

A good website should be clear from the moment someone lands on it. Within a few seconds, people should understand who you are, what you do, and how you can help them. If they have to figure it out, they won’t stick around.

It should also be easy to use. Most people are browsing on their phones, so if your site is slow, clunky, or hard to navigate, they’ll leave before you’ve had a chance to make an impression.

Trust plays a big part too. Things like reviews, testimonials, real images, and clear information all help people feel confident choosing you. Without that, even a great service can get overlooked.

And then there’s the most important part… making it easy to take the next step. Whether that’s calling you, filling in a form, or sending a message, it should feel simple and obvious.

At the end of the day, a good website isn’t just about looking nice. It’s about helping your business grow.

A lot of business owners have a website, but it ends up being more of a tick box than a tool. It sits there looking good, but doesn’t really bring in enquiries, doesn’t get much traffic, and doesn’t have a clear purpose.

That’s where the problem is.

A good website should be doing more than just existing. It should be bringing people in, clearly explaining what you do, building trust, and making it easy for someone to get in touch.

If it’s not doing those things, it’s not really working for your business.

The good news is you don’t always need a full rebuild. Sometimes it’s just about making the right tweaks in the right places to turn things around.

5 reasons your website isn’t bringing you enquiries

(And no… it’s probably not because “people aren’t interested”)

1. It looks nice… but doesn’t guide people
If visitors don’t know what to do next, they’ll just leave. Simple as that.

2. It’s not built for mobile
Most people are on their phones. If your site is awkward to use, they won’t stick around.

3. It’s slow
If it takes more than a few seconds to load, people are gone before they’ve even seen what you do.

4. Your message isn’t clear
If someone lands on your site and can’t instantly understand what you offer… you’ve already lost them.

5. There’s no clear way to contact you
Hidden contact details, long forms, or too many steps = missed opportunities.

The truth is, most websites don’t fail because of one big thing…
It’s lots of small things adding up.

The good news? All of this is fixable

If you had to guess… which one is your website guilty of?
