A busy evening tonight as I was invited to the official VIP opening - located in the old Unex House building at Rivergate, originally a 19th Century engine shed, the ground floor is a brand-new coming-together space in the city centre to 1. chillout, 2. get fit, 3. get a tattoo, 4. Get therapy massage, 5. have a haircut, 6. Use as a co-workspace, meeting place or simply to have a coffee or a drink together.
It’s modern, it’s fresh and it’s cool in this hot weather. The concept is that you can buy a membership which will give you different benefits for you as an individual or you as a family like using the gym, having exclusive invites to member events or getting 10% off your coffee and more, or if you just want to go in there for a drink after 12pm (Thursday to Sunday) or a chill out coffee from 8am (7 days a week) then you can without a membership.
The whole place has a great vibe with the entrance opening up with Gareth’s Black & Bloom cafe, next is a cool bar space, then a private meeting room area which can be hired.
Lee & Emma will look after you at Gentlemen & Rogues Boxing Club which has a private gym area for personal, groups and buddy training with some modern wood machinery by Nohrd Elasko great for a stretching exercises, a boxing ring with world-class coaching, and strength training. There’s a recovery area too with sauna.
The Gentlemen & Rogues barbershop area looks superb in a dark wood style offering men’s grooming. You’ll be getting a chance to relax while receiving premium services - from children’s cuts to adult treatments.
Tola who runs TMaclife has a studio for you to book some sports and injury physiotherapy.
Finally, the tattoo studio Electric Workshop headed up by Leigh will be the place for tattoos with a team of professional tattoo artists.
