The new website for Armitage Wealth went live yesterday! 🥳🥳

Another successful collaboration with Angela Consulting - strategic marketing - we breathed new life into the brand, and then rolled it out across the website, socials and stationery. It's now dynamic and engaging, and really communicates the fab family centred company that they are 🥰

I'm excited to announce that the Devon History Society's new website is now live!

The branding and website were looking a little tired and needed bringing up to date visually, but also technically for the website. The new logo takes the key elements from the old logo, whilst a new layout, colours and typography make it feel modern, but with a historical twist, whilst retaining the core of it's identity.

The new website showcases the fantastic images from the Society's archives, and has a smooth and intuitive user journey with a palette of fresh, muted colours that are both inviting and work harmoniously with the imagery.

It's been a real joy working with Martin and Katherine from the Society, and I hope your new website is enjoyed by your members.

Nearly the end of another year! It's been a busy one at Jess Cook Design - we've designed and built some mammoth websites, undertaken a couple of big rebrands, and migrated our websites to a new, faster server where we're seeing great improvements in website speed and performance.

I want to say a big thank you to my lovely clients - we've worked together on some great projects this year, and I'm looking forward to working with you in 2024! Merry Christmas, and I hope you all have a well deserved break over the festive holiday :)

🎉🎉 The NEW WEBSITE for Marco's Trattoria is now LIVE! 🎉🎉

Marco's Trattoria is a new authentic Italian Café and Restaurant in Ivybridge. It opened its doors a few weeks ago, so time has been of the essence to produce a beautiful website to raise their profile and spread the word about their new establishment.

The website is fresh with a touch of the traditional, and uses clean lines and typography alongside the new photography of their delicious dishes.

It's been great working with Jim - he's super chatty and friendly and will welcome you to Marco's for a unique dining experience.

It's been a lengthy process, but all the pages are now in for Devon Therapy Services new website! 🙌🥳

We approached this in stages as it's a large website, with a lot of service pages. We required the content throughout to be written by a copywriter, with the client sourcing his own banner images. The site evolved as it expanded to later include a mega menu and client reviews. I enjoyed working up the illustrations for the service pages, and I think it's looking great now it's complete.

NEW BRANDING AND WEBSITE PROJECT COMPLETE 🎆🥳

I've been working with Luke on his new brand and website since March, and today his brand new shiny visual identity and website have gone live! Luke runs Writers of the World, which offers online creative writing classes for 8 - 16 year olds all over the world. Luke and his teachers are passionate about writing in all it's formats and experienced in teaching both in person and online. Their live classes are engaging and interactive, aiding children with their journey into the writing world!

I wanted to create a brand that had the same level of energy and excitement as Luke and his teachers bring to their classes. The logo features punctuation carefully integrated to bring a sense of creativity and quirky-ness, whilst retaining professionalism. It is a strong wordmark, with bright and eye-catching colours, which form the basis for a bright and youthful colour palette within the identity as a whole. This energy carries through to the website design, where I have used illustration, and an animated text background for the home page heading.

I've been working on this quarterly publication alongside the MBA editorial team for a year now - I'm just about to start the design and layout for the next edition. It's been an age again since I last posted on here, but in all honesty with all that's been going on it hasn't been very high on my to do list! Juggling family life (and school closures) with client needs has left little for other pursuits recently, I'm sure you can relate.

I've been very fortunate that work hasn't been quiet throughout the pandemic for JCD - December was a record month where I got to be part of some very exciting projects which I will (hopefully remember to) share as they go live / reach the shelves over the next couple of months.

Here's one that went live before Christmas. Clearfocus Training needed a new website as theirs was nearly a decade old and was no longer helping them reach their full potential as a business. I dramatically updated the design whilst rebuilding in Wordpress for a modern and engaging user experience, using video backgrounds to bring the site to life.
