Charity game result:

⚽️FC Pollington 4-3 Horse and jockey Eggborough⚽️

FC Pollington win the first ever Steve Jackson memorial shield in a close game against Horse and jockey Eggborough. A fantastic day all round having a great game of football whilst more importantly raising money and awareness for ANDYSMANCLUB.

A massive thank you to everyone who come down to watch, donate and help to make the day a memorable occasion for those involved.

However big shout and thanks go to:

👏 Knottla munch box providing hot food and drink on the day and raising a further £460 to the cause whilst doing so.

👏 Malarose metals for sponsoring the game.

👏 Kellingley welfare fc for letting us use there pitch and facilities.

👏 Horse and jockey Eggborough for hosting everyone after the game.

Also thanks to everyone involved we have managed to raise so far an incredible £2195 from the JustGiving donations plus cash received on the day. A fantastic achievement for a fantastic cause.

⚽️MATCHDAY INFORMATION ⚽️

Next Saturday FC Pollington and Horse and Jockey Eggborough will go head to head in a charity game for the Steve Jackson memorial shield. All money raised will go to ANDYSMANCLUB a cause that means a great deal to the lads involved.

Can all lads playing please arrive for 10am just to allow enough time to get sorted out with having so many people for a 11am kick off.

Kit will be provided for all players on the day however if you have your own shorts/socks ect can you please bring them just in case we don’t have enough available for everyone.

Food and drink will also be available to buy on the day thanks to Knottla munch box with bacon and sausage sandwiches being charged at £2.50 and tea and coffee being charged at £1. This will be CASH ONLY as all money raised will also be donated to ANDYSMANCLUB.

We look forward to seeing as many people there on the day as possible raising money for a great cause. This will be followed by the FC Pollington presentation at the Horse and Jockey Eggborough which all are welcome for a few beers and more fundraising opportunities.

Update for the charity game, we will be playing on Saturday 30th May 11:00am kick off at Kellingley welfare ground WF11 8ER. There will be a stall serving drinks and hot sandwiches on the day whilst the game is going on. A go fund me page for Andy’s man club will be set up in due time with all money raised by players and spectators going to the charity.

Facilities such as changing rooms, showers and kit will be provided on the day for those players who are wanting to go straight back to the pub after the game. Teams for the game will announced shortly once we know numbers for the day.

After the game, all FC Pollington players will be going back to the Horse and jockey Eggborough for our end of season presentation. All spectators are welcome to come along to the presentation, there will be food being served as well as bouncy castles and further fundraising events.

It would be great to see as many of you there as possible, should be a great day!

On Saturday 30th May, FC Pollington will be hosting a charity football game raising money for Andy’s man club. Kick off and location to be confirmed but will be close enough to the Horse and Jockey pub Eggborough. We are currently looking for more players to take part in a mixed team charity game at £10 a man, all abilities welcome to play. There will also be a way to donate for spectators with all money going to Andy’s man club. This will then be followed by our end of season presentation at the Horse and Jockey Eggborough for a beer after the game which everyone is welcome to come back to. Please let one of the lads in the team know if you are wanting to take part all welcome.

The lads are back again this weekend in another semi final taking on Dunscroft fc. After last week’s disappointing result this is another chance to get to a final. All support would be appreciated

The lads cup run comes to an end in the semi final in the Doncaster league cup after falling short to last years winners Edlington.

Tough conditions with the wind and a not good enough start led to us being 3-0 down at half time and up against it.

The second half performance improved especially with having the wind behind us and got an early goal thanks to abit of magic from Leo Cazals in the first minute of the second half. The lads dominated the rest of the half but ultimately left themselves with too much to do with the first half performance despite a late goal from Jamie drury taking us to 3-2 to then concede a last minute penalty in the last minute of the game making it 4-2.

Wasn’t our day yesterday but hopefully with another semi final Sunday we can still potentially reach a cup final. Man of the match Leo Cazals comfortably one of best players on the pitch even getting himself a goal.

Huge game for the lads this weekend taking on Edlington in the semi finals of the Doncaster league cup. A big opportunity for the lads to get to a final all support would be appreciated for all people wanting to come along. We have been given a 9:30 kick off time instead of the usual 10:30 kick off.

The lads have there final league game of the season this weekend taking on a good Scawthorpe Athletic side at home. Still 2 cup semi finals to come so hopefully we can go into them with a win. All support is appreciated
