There are always deadlines to meet and people who want work done immediately. We can always find ways to be busy but you need to ask yourself every time - is it important? Is doing the books more important that reading a bedtime story to your child? Is procrastinating over business admin more important that going for a walk with your family? Is stressing over posting on social media more important that enjoying a meal with your family or friends? Think about how outsourcing work will allow you more time for the important elements of your life.

I have been set back so many times in both my personal and professional journeys. There are always people or situations that can try and push you off course: some may make your course more challenging, some may delay the start or end of your journey, some may highlight a better course for you. It is your course and ultimately you are in control… so whatever you do make sure that you are setting your sails correctly… to utilise the wind… to reach your destination.

This quote speaks so much to me as a mother. I look at my situation as a single mother and have moments when I panic that I’m not making enough money to provide for my family or I won’t have enough saved up for the future. I found myself a full time job when my youngest went off to school but realised that the job meant my parents had to do the school run, I was stressed getting my family ready for the day and barely had any time to be with my children before it was bedtime. Being furloughed gave me the chance to acknowledge that my children needed me more than we needed money. I had to prioritise my time to allow us to be a family and my children have blossomed from it. I’m a hard worker with many skills so will always be able to find a way to make money. My children will only be little for a short amount of time. This time is so precious and so valuable that I am now prioritising my family time and working the hours that suit my family. Are you? Have you thought of offloading the work that takes too much of your time to a Virtual Assistant so you can spend more time with your family? 💕 ❤️

I love this quote. It is so true that if we are not active about scheduling our time it becomes impossible to ‘find’ time. If you are a busy person with work, children and other responsibilities and commitments, you will often find it hard to ‘find’ time to take a break because there is always something to start, do or finish. Scheduling time helps you to focus, prioritise and reminds you to include breaks.

After four years at the Master Plumbers, I moved to OAMPS Insurance Brokers to gain more experience in Marketing whilst I studied for my Chartered Institute of Marketing Diploma.

I was lucky during my time with the Master Plumbers to organise their conference in Christchurch, NZ.

With numerous seminars, workshops, trips and dinners to manage, and a small earthquake in high-rise accommodation, I took a well earned break one afternoon to jump off the Hanmer Springs bridge!
