Seventeen years is a long time.

Long enough to support an organisation through changing priorities, evolving audiences and countless new chapters. Long enough to build the kind of understanding and trust that only comes from working together over a long time.

For us, that's what makes long-term creative relationships so rewarding.

Over the past 17 years, we've worked alongside The Portsmouth Grammar School 1732 to produce Portsmouth Point, a publication that has continually reflected the voices, perspectives and ambitions of its community. While every issue captures a moment in time, together they tell a much bigger story: one of growth, change and continuity.

What we're most proud of isn't the magazine itself, but the relationship that's grown around it.

We're incredibly grateful to Portsmouth Grammar School for the opportunity to be part of their ongoing journey, and we're looking forward to what comes next.

Huge congratulations to Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance on reaching the ยฃ3.6 million target for their Operation Airbase appeal.

Last July, Laura & Amy had the pleasure of visiting the new airbase near Southampton Airport and hearing first-hand about the vision for the site. It was inspiring to see the plans taking shape and to learn how the new facility would support crews in delivering their life-saving work across the region.

To see that vision become a reality, made possible by the incredible generosity of more than 13,000 supporters, is a fantastic achievement.

We've been privileged to be able to work with the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance team (Keith & Gemma) over the years and look forward to seeing the positive impact the new airbase will have for many years to come.

Congratulations again to everyone involved.

One of the most overlooked aspects of print design is format.

In many projects, the challenge isnโ€™t creating the content or design elements, itโ€™s finding a way to communicate the information more effectively through structure, layout and physical format choices.

Good design for print has to consider far more than aesthetics alone. How will the piece be handled? How easily can it be distributed? Does the format encourage people to spend time with the content, or does it overwhelm them? Can it evolve over time without requiring a complete redesign?

These practical considerations often shape the success of a printed piece just as much as the visual design itself.

Simplifying formats can often create stronger outcomes. Reducing bulk, improving navigation and introducing more flexible layouts can make printed communications easier to use while still retaining impact and personality.

A good example of this is the seasonal โ€˜Whatโ€™s On Guideโ€™ created for Jacksons Lane, where we reworked an existing 16-page stitched brochure into a compact A5 concertina-folded format. The redesign made the guide cheaper to print, easier to distribute and navigate, while also creating a flexible layout system that could adapt to changing programme content from season to season.

Itโ€™s a strong example of print solving both creative and functional challenges through thoughtful design decisions, not just visual ones.

Meet Yasmin ๐Ÿ‘‹

Yasmin joined TGDH straight from her Graphic Design degree at Portsmouth University and this July marks 5 years with the team.

She's happiest when she gets to see a project through from the very first concept to the final printed piece, and with the variety of clients and sectors we work with, no two jobs are ever quite the same.

Outside of work, you'll find her starting a new craft project, trying out a local cafe or deep into a new TV series. Oh, and she's a qualified scuba diver, five years in and we're still learning things about her.

The YONEX All England Open Badminton Championships represents more than world-class badminton.

Itโ€™s prestige. Tradition. Atmosphere. Legacy.

So when creating the hospitality poster for the championship, we wanted the design process to reflect that same sense of status and timelessness.

The journey began by exploring iconic sporting posters, Olympic artwork and classic illustrated prints that captured more than just the sport itself. We were drawn to restrained palettes, elegant composition and illustrations that created a true sense of place.

From there, we developed a series of illustration styles and line-drawn concepts inspired by the Utilita Arena Birmingham and the wider setting of the tournament.

Each route focused on reducing visual noise and creating something more enduring, a piece designed to feel collectible rather than purely promotional.

The final creative became more than an event poster.

A limited-edition keepsake designed to celebrate the prestige of the All England long after the tournament had ended.

Title treatments do a lot of heavy lifting in theatre marketing.

Long before photography, trailers or reviews exist, theyโ€™re responsible for giving a production its identity. Something distinctive enough to stand out across listings, social, print and press, while remaining flexible enough to evolve as the wider campaign develops.

For Hull Truck Theatreโ€™s Christmas production of The Wind in the Willows, the challenge was finding a way to make this classic story feel festive while staying true to its character.

We explored references from vintage book covers, theatrical interpretations and atmospheric winter landscapes to capture the feeling of the story before moving into typography exploration and early visual concepts.

The final direction combines rich theatrical typography with immersive environmental details, creating a title treatment that feels nostalgic, magical and festive, while still working effectively across digital and print applications.

Swipe through to see some of the thinking, development and creative process behind the final campaign.

Thank you to Sport Industry Group for trusting us with this yearโ€™s 25th Sport Industry Awards. Andrew Sanders and Ellis Hampton had a blast working on the build and roll-out of event collateral.

Andy said โ€œBringing this high-profile awards event to life was a dream project for me and the team. Using a bold creative toolkit across multiple assets, we combined striking sports photography with dynamic 3D molten metal visuals to create immersive window and wall graphics โ€“ perfectly capturing the energy and legacy of the 25th Anniversary of the Sports Industry Awards.โ€

This was a fabulous brief to work on, including the external and internal wall and window graphics, backdrop for media interviews, event signage, the awards brochure and more.

From design of the 2026 Sport Industry Report to thisโ€ฆ we canโ€™t wait to find out what Tom, Josh and Jordan have in store for us next!

Our congratulations to the winners (naturally) and to everyone behind the scenes that made this such a fantastic evening.

Education has become an incredibly competitive marketplace, which has piled on the pressure for marketing teams to perform even when their resources may have been reduced.

Our latest showreel captures how we help schools, colleges and universities maintain momentum and use design to achieve more with less. From flagship campaigns to the everyday materials that build trust, community and momentum.

We know the pressure education teams are under. Juggling open days, prospectus deadlines, student recruitment targets and alumni communications, often with limited time and resource.

Thatโ€™s where we come in. Managing everything from first concepts to full roll-out across digital and print. The buck truly starts and stops with us.
