Today we ventured out on a walk we’ve not done for a while…I remember why now!!
The fact I managed to stay on my feet and no pooches got stuck in the mud was a miracle and thankful for a paddle in the lake before getting back in the car! See you in the spring 🪻🌻☀️

As a lot of you know, we have fostered dogs for Homeless Hounds for around 9 years now. Some come for literally days and others 6 months! This our current little foster Callie, who is looking for her forever home.
Homeless Hounds - Dog in Need are looking for new foster carers so they can help more dogs in desperate need. It is so rewarding and of no financial cost to you. If you feel you can help please get in touch with them ♥️🐾

I have a rare opening of space on a Tuesday and Friday, possibly 2 if from same household.
I do 1 walk a day that is 2 hours long, where we venture off to places like Roddlesworth, Ainsdale beach, Brinscall woods. We go at a slow pace for the older dogs but the younger ones spend their time zooming around burning up energy. Plenty of enrichment and exercise.
I pick up and drop off, area around Leyland and surrounding.
Your dog needs to be dog friendly, off lead with good recall and travel well in a car.

This is a really hard post and the first I’ve had to do, since starting Maddax Mutz,
(I’m Doing this through tears so it may have spelling mistakes)

This week our beautiful Ernie said his last goodbyes to his family. The most beautiful soul who was adored his whole life by his family,
Who had his twin brother Bert throughout his life as his constant right hand man. They were joined by their little baby sister Peggy a couple of years ago to become the 3 amigos, terrisoising any parcel delivery man and having the best life.

He will be missed so so much and when I say o love my Maddax Mutz crew as my own, I really do and it hurts so so much having to say goodbye.
I wish I could love like dogs love but it really isn’t possible, it is what makes our fur babies so special, we need to learn from them, that is all they ever want in life , to be loved and to love (maybe a few treats and tea and a walk too)
I am incredibly lucky to have the job I have, sending love to his wonderful family at this awful time 💔
RIP Ernie your Maddax Mutz mates will miss you so much. Sweet dreams beautiful boy, we love you ♥️ 🌈

I’m sure that most of you are aware, I’m a volunteer for Homeless Hounds. In November Maddax Mutz sponsored a table at their annual Christmas Party night see pic, which raises much needed funds for the amazing charity.

As are all animal charities HH are currently in extreme difficult times, with every kennel taken, emergency kennels full, foster homes all full and poor dogs sat in the pound waiting desperately for the safety of a rescue space. Vets bills are HUGE, heating bills are extortionate, as well as everyday costs rocketing.
