Big agency vs a little one? 🤨

Over the last 11 years we have worked with lots of brilliant clients. We actually couldn’t count how many we have had but with running your own digital marketing agency, we have lost and gained a few as all businesses do.

There have been a number of occasions where clients have left us because they felt they wanted that ‘bigger agency’ feel, which is totally understandable.

Recently, two separate clients that stopped working with us got back in touch with us for some more help. They asked us to look over their campaigns to see what could be done to improve performance. 📈📉

What was interesting, was that the agencies they had moved to (much bigger agencies), were using the same Google Ad campaigns that we had setup in the first place (some dating back to 2018), which goes to show that whilst we may be a small company, we know how to deliver results for these sort of clients. ✅

Clients will always have certain criteria they are looking for when it comes to who they want to work with, we might not be everyone’s cup of tea so to speak ☕️, but we do know how to get results.

It’s been a long time coming! 😂🙈

Our new website and rebrand.

Typically us, our website actually went live at Christmas, but we are only deciding to mention it now. 🤭

What started out as a quick ‘refresh’ has turned into a total rebrand and we’re so happy with the results.

We’re loving the look, feel and vibe the rebrand brings and to mark our 11 years in business, we figured we’d treat ourselves to a rebrand and a brand spanking new website. 🎁

🎉 This week we saw Google's Silver Jubilee! Can you believe it's been 25 years since its launch?! It's hard to imagine life before Google and few companies become so influential they become verbs. Google is still our go-to for online searches, despite AI advancements.

Google's faced its fair share of competitors (remember Ask Jeeves?) and even Yahoo tried to buy the company for £3million but the founders of Google thought it was worth more.

Here are just a few of defining moments that paved the way for Google's journey:

🚀 2000 - Google launched AdWords, becoming one of the world's richest firms.
📸 2001 - Images were added to search results, driven by demand for J.Lo's Grammy dress
🌐 2005 - Google Maps and Google Earth changed navigation for good
📺 2006 - Google buy YouTube, shaping the creator economy
🇨🇳 2006 - Google faced challenges in China's tightly regulated online space
📚 2006 - "Google" enters the Oxford English Dictionary
📱 2010 - Google's first smartphone was launched
🌟 2015 - Google unveiled a refreshed logo and restructured as Alphabet.

Other facts about Google - it generates 8.5 billion searches a day, YouTube is the most searched thing on Google along with Facebook, WhatsApp web, and Amazon. Will Smith was the most searched person in 2022, the recipe for paneer pasanda was the most searched for recipe in 2022 and "What time is it" was the most frequently asked question on Google in 2022.

We received a testimonial and some lovely words from a client of ours recently, so why not share it this Thursday?❤️

Our client are a signage and wrapping company and the objective of our work was to generate more leads for their architectural wrapping services and general higher value signage.

We launched a Google Ads campaign and from being competitive in search, our ads have landed them jobs with some very high profile companies such as Manchester Airport ✈️ and Dr Martens 👞 retail stores.

They're a great company to work with and it's great to see our campaigns are winning them work. 🙌🏻

AI, specifically ChatGPT. 🌌

ChatGPT, stands for Chat Generative Pre-trained Transformer and is a large language model-based chatbot. It can be used for a variety of tasks like language translation, writing songs, answering research questions, and even generating computer code - the list is endless.

There are of course some concerns surrounding AI, for example, will it start to replace the job of humans and lead to further unemployment? Will we become less intelligent as a population as it could start to do the ‘thinking’ for you? Could the information it provides be manipulated and suggest biased responses and false information? 👾

Steven Bartlett recently did a podcast on the Diary of a CEO with Sam Harris, an American philosopher, who said that AI could destroy humanity and how most of what is online could soon be fake. 🤯

It’s definitely a hot topic right now. We attended a new business client meeting a couple of weeks ago and we were asked if we use it? To which we said YES, we do. ChatGPT has actually helped us work more efficiently and effectively.

Now as wonderful and useful as AI is, it can’t replicate the creativity and intuition that digital agencies have. We thrive off human engagement and creating strategies that connect with target audiences. AI can’t understand context like humans do and it doesn’t have emotional intelligence. ❤️

Instead, we view AI as a valuable tool. It helps us enhance productivity and streamline our operations such as using it to help analyse data, perform competitive research and assisting with content creation. ✅

But it's our experience, knowledge and qualifications, added with the human touch that generates results for our clients.

🇮🇹👓 Ciao bella!! 🇮🇹👓

Kate was in Italy for a couple of days this week collaborating on an exciting brand new business!

We will be launching and marketing a new online business later this year, of which the product is manufactured in Italy! So we took the opportunity to visit the manufacturer in Lozzo di Cadore. This town is right up our street with it's breathtaking views and alpine surroundings. ⛰🌲

Lozzo di Cadore is only located a couple of hours away from the beautiful and mesmerising city of Venice, so we took the opportunity to have a stroll and a bite to eat before heading to the airport.

We're really excited to be working on this project in which we will be working on a few different areas regarding the marketing side of things, in particular:

👓 𝙊𝙣𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙚 𝙤𝙥𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙞𝙨𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 - looking at keyword research, putting a site map together and content creation for the web pages.
👓 𝙂𝙤𝙤𝙜𝙡𝙚 𝘼𝙙𝙨 𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙖𝙜𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 – this will help us to identify profitable search terms and understand website behaviour.
👓 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙘𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 – looking at video and photography creation to compete with top brands.
👓 𝙎𝙤𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝙢𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙖 𝙖𝙙𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙜 – to allow us to tap into new audiences based on their interests and behaviours.

𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙞𝙨 𝙏𝙝𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙨? 📱

This is the new app from Meta, the parent company of Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp. The platform looks a lot like Twitter, with a feed of largely text based posts, although users can also post photos and videos, where people can have real-time conversations. Meta has described Threads as “Instagram’s text-based conversation app”. 💬

Within the first hour alone, it received a staggering five million sign-ups, just three months after Meta confirmed it was working on an alternative to Twitter. Threads could pose a serious threat to Twitter, which has faced backlash since Elon Musk took over the platform last year. 👀

Although the app is very similar to Twitter, it has been stressed that one of the key differences is the focus on 'kindness' and being 'friendly' and that this will be the key to it's success. Meta have said that they want to be different from Twitter in that they are focusing on kindness and making Threads a friendly place. ❤️

While businesses cannot advertise on Threads just yet, it is likely that this will become an additional feature due to Meta's current operating structure across its other platforms such as Facebook ads and Instagram branded/sponsored tools.

There is something you can do to help with this by having 𝟮 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝟮𝗙𝗔).

2FA is an added security measure that requires users to provide two forms of identification to access their online accounts. 🔐

It adds an extra level of protection to your online presence, keeping your valuable data safe from prying eyes. By requiring a second verification step (like a unique code sent to your phone), it drastically reduces the risk of unauthorised access. 📵

In the digital marketing world, 2FA can ensure the safety of sensitive information like personal details and payment data. With heightened security, businesses can develop stronger relationships and build credibility with their audience.

It can also boost brand reputation by safeguarding company assets, social media profiles, and marketing campaigns from malicious attacks.
