🪡 The story behind SJH Upholstery

SJH Upholstery started back in 2017, but Chris’s experience in upholstery goes back much further than that.

Chris first went into upholstery after leaving school. Although he stepped away from the trade for a short while, it wasn’t long before he found his way back to doing what he knows and does best — and from there, SJH Upholstery was born.

But there’s also a very special meaning behind our name. ❤️

SJH stands for our children — Skye, Jude & Harper.

Since starting the business, we’ve grown from strength to strength and had the opportunity to work on an incredible variety of projects. From sofas and furniture to vans, caravans and boats, as well as work for salons, bars, restaurants and universities — the list really is endless.

No job is simply “just another job” to us. Whether we’re restoring something that holds years of memories or creating something completely new and bespoke, we put the same care and attention into every piece.

Our aim has always been simple: to produce work we’re proud to put our name to, maintain a very high standard and, most importantly, make sure our customers are happy with the finished result.

Eight years on from where it all began, we’re incredibly proud of how far SJH Upholstery has come — and we’re looking forward to everything still to come.
