Belts aren't really my thing, not because I don't like them, but because they don't always flatter my figure. If you're carrying weight around your midsection, belts can accentuate the wrong areas. A simple fix is to blouson your tops over your belt to draw attention below your widest point.

No extra excuse needed! On “National Wear Your Pyjamas To Work Day”, I'm rocking my fave PJs in the studio. Post-holiday, I’ve hit the ground running with the rest of the month fully booked so relishing one more day of elasticated waist lines and super soft fabric whilst organising the studio. Colour, comfort or fit, what are your Pyjama Priorities?

I appreciate that a lot of my friends and clients have already heard snippets about my personal stylist journey which is deeply rooted to my height and consequent body image challenges. For anyone wanting to hear more or gain a greater understanding in how we can influence our own self esteem and confidence through colour analysis or getting to know our bodies better then have a listen😁.

If you can relate in anyway then please do let me know❤️.

Ever wondered why a Gladiator sandal just doesn’t work on you? Like me, you might have a proportionally shorter knee to foot ratio😳.

Proportions aren’t just about your rise and waist height. You can be “long” or “short” anywhere on your body and getting in to the details on this can revolutionise the way you dress that area.

Take my legs for example, being a 36” inside leg measurement you would presume that my legs can accommodate any cut of trouser or shoe but that’s where it gets interesting!

The length in my legs is all in my thigh bone which is extraordinarily long when you compare it to the distance between the base of my knee and foot. This means that when I dress in a cropped trouser that exposes my knee position, the result is not balanced (coupled with the fact that I look god awful in Lycra, cements the fact that cropped gym wear is simply not for me)😆.

To counteract this, I can wear a cropped trouser that doesn’t reveal where my knee starts and finishes or I can “break up” the length in my thigh bone by cutting my hemline across it in a pair of shorts instead.

A simple guide for you personally, is where you have length in an area of your body you can add more detail, but more importantly, where you lack length then keep it simple.
