Rob Tissera is a true pioneer of UK dance music, with a career spanning over 30 years at the forefront of house, hard house and club culture. Cutting his teeth on pirate radio in Blackburn in the late ’80s, Rob quickly became a key figure in the early rave movement, earning legendary status through his involvement in illegal raves and underground events that helped shape the scene. His early experiences laid the foundation for a career defined by credibility, longevity and relentless passion for club music.

Internationally renowned as a DJ and producer, Rob has played the world’s most iconic clubs, festivals and brands. He is a regular performer for Clockwork Orange, Housework, My House, Lashed, Tidy, Goodgreef, Trance In The Woods, Cream, Raindance, Unity In the Sun, Slip Back In Time , Rejuvenation and the hugely popular Butlins Weekenders, while also making consistent appearances in Ibiza at Amnesia and Eden. His touring history includes Australia and New Zealand, alongside shows across Europe and the UK’s biggest arenas and festivals.

As a producer, Rob is best known as the creator of the seminal dance anthem “The Day Will Come” (as Quake with Ian Bland), alongside a catalogue of releases and remixes that have received support from artists including Armin van Buuren, Paul Van Dyk and Judge Jules. His music and DJ sets have been featured across major radio stations including BBC Radio 1, Capital FM, Kiss and Galaxy, and he has delivered a Radio 1 Essential Mix as well as live Ibiza broadcasts.

In 2025, Rob released his autobiography The Smiler, documenting his journey through three decades of dance music history. From January 2026, he will host a monthly show on Centreforce DAB on the second Thursday of the month, continuing his influence on both new and old-school audiences alike. Constantly evolving yet always authentic, Rob Tissera remains one of the UK’s most respected and enduring figures in electronic music.

Haslingden is open for business - and the end is in sight for roadworks on Deardengate after a water leak which had delayed progress has been fixed.

Water company United Utilities has fixed the problem in Haslingden, which impacted on road and pavement work around Deardengate in recent weeks. The company had dealt with one leak there in mid-February but then had to tackle another.

Rossendale Council said it is pleased the problem has been fixed ‘after sustained phone calls and pushing’ to United Utilities for repairs over three weeks.

Haslingden shop owners and drivers have faced months of upheaval caused by rolling phases of work around Deardengate. The work is improve the town centre’s environment including pedestrianising the historic ‘Big Lamp’ area at the top of Deardengate.

A Rossendale Council spokesperson said: “We’re pleased that progress has now finally been made by United Utilities to resolve the recent water leak in Haslingden, following sustained phone calls and pushing by our contractor to get the issue addressed.

“Following completion of the current phase, the project will move into landscaping works, which will be carried out without the need for further road closures.

“In the meantime, Haslingden is very much open for visitors and shoppers, with pavements fully accessible, high street access up to Haslingden Library for vehicles, and new artwork taking shape. We will continue to keep residents and businesses updated.”

Egg Curry & Rice

Ingredients:
• 4 hard-boiled eggs
• 2 cups cooked rice
• 1 onion, chopped
• 2 tomatoes, chopped
• 2 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 inch ginger, grated
• 2 green chilies, slit
• 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
• 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
• 1 teaspoon coriander powder
• Salt, to taste
• Fresh cilantro, for garnish
• Oil, for cooking

Directions:
1. Start by heating some oil in a pan. Toss in the cumin seeds and wait for them to splutter.
2. Next, add the chopped onions and sauté them until they turn a lovely golden brown.
3. Stir in the minced garlic, grated ginger, and slit green chilies, sautéing everything together for another minute.
4. Mix in the chopped tomatoes along with the turmeric and coriander powder. Let it cook until the tomatoes become nice and soft.
5. Gently add the hard-boiled eggs into the pan, making sure they get coated in the flavorful sauce.
6. Season with salt and add a splash of water if the gravy is too thick. Let it simmer for about 5-7 minutes.
7. Serve the egg curry hot over a bed of fluffy rice and sprinkle some fresh cilantro on top for that perfect finishing touch. Enjoy!

What's everyone's take on AI / CHAT GPT. It's been around 3 years now. Most of the time it's accuracy is spot on, however because it partly relies on third party information, it's open to manipulation.

I wouldn't rely on AI just yet for investment advice.

Tell a few porkies on Facebook and you could be recommended as the No1 Uber Driver in the World... 🚕🚕🚕

I've used AI to write the content of a website, a great time saver and optimisation tool short term, however if the AI produced content is duplicated accross several websites of the same service, then it has the opposite effect on google rankings. This is where seo tweaking comes in.

Now, as AI results are ranking higher than individual Google results for key phrases like

"Who is"
"What is"
"Where is"

The way people search is changing.

Less of what you want and where you want it. And more of "Who is the best... # # #.. In my local area" or "Can you recommend me a,,, # # #,... in my local area" or "Where is the best.. # # #..."

I asked CHATGPT to rewrite part of my own website and it came up with the words "Seasoned DJ".... well I suppose it's better than "Weathered".. 🤣

So my own recommendation is simple. If you already have a website using the. co. Uk extension, then grab the . Com extension as well ( or vice versa ) and have an AI responsive website built as well. Twice the exposure and stay ahead of the game 👍👍
