The Feb / Mar / Apr edition of The Grapevine is out!

Always a pleasure to work on this publication - it’s a great example of how local print can still really matter. Packed with community news, familiar names, and the kind of content people genuinely enjoy reading.

It’s a small, very local publication (just a few hundred copies) but that’s exactly what makes it special. Thoughtfully put together, genuinely read, and rooted in the community it serves.

Realised I haven’t shared a graphic design project in a while… so here’s one I loved 💙

Branding + website design for SeaTax, who specialise in tax advice for seafarers. Clean, calm and professional was the brief and I’m really pleased with how it turned out.

I’ve been a bit quieter on the design side on social lately (busy behind the scenes and juggling a few things!), but I’m still very much doing it - just not always shouting about every project.

✨ Feeling Proud to Share This… ✨

I’m really happy to say that I’ve recently joined The Cameron Laidlaw Foundation as a trustee - a charity doing incredibly important work for young people in our community. 💛

As part of my new role, I’ve been busy behind the scenes creating a full new brand and logo for the foundation.
You can spot a little sneak peek on this Christmas Fun Day poster… but there’s much more to come when we reveal the full branding soon 👀✨

🌿 Back to the Studio - and The Grapevine! 🌿

It’s been a while since I last posted (life has had its fair share of twists, turns, and DIY adventures lately 😅), but behind the scenes I’ve still been creating, designing, and supporting local businesses where I can.

In fact… I only realised when I went to post about the latest edition that I completely forgot to share the Aug–Oct one! 🙈

So here’s a little catch-up - I’ve now designed both the Aug–Oct and Nov–Jan editions of The Grapevine community magazine.

I absolutely love bringing local stories and small businesses to life through colour, layout, and thoughtful design - it’s such a rewarding reminder of how much creativity and heart there is right here in our area. 💛

Really proud to share the brand new website for Back to the Action in Stokesley!

Get Back to the Action Sports Therapy helps people recover from injury and improve movement with expert treatments like sports massage, spinal mobilisation and gait analysis. But their old website wasn’t keeping up with the amazing in-person care they provide.

It was time for a full refresh - and I was excited to help bring it to life!

Tom Lawrence, Personal Estate Agent

Tom’s original brand centred around “TLC” - clever and heartfelt, but it was starting to feel a bit dated and didn’t fully reflect him.

So I gave it a refresh:

🏡 Evolved the heart into a new home/heart/foliage icon
💬 Shifted the name for a stronger personal connection
🖊️ Added a handwritten-style font for warmth
🎨 Updated the colour palette for a modern, professional feel

Now it’s distinctive, polished and way more “Tom”.
