Money Saving Expert has taken a fresh look at Utility Warehouse โ€” and some of what it says may surprise you.

MSE is still cautious about Utility Warehouseโ€™s network marketing model, but its latest 2026 review also says UWโ€™s current energy offering is highly competitive for some households.

That does NOT mean Money Saving Expert is recommending Utility Warehouse.

It does mean the numbers are worth looking at.

My view is simple:

Donโ€™t assume UW is right for you โ€” and donโ€™t assume it isnโ€™t.

Compare what youโ€™re paying now, check the whole household cost, and decide from the actual figures.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Read my full balanced breakdown here:

Iโ€™m an independent Utility Warehouse Partner and long-standing UW customer.

Itโ€™s easy to bury your head in the sand when it comes to retirement.

But eventually, the numbers become real.

The latest Retirement Living Standards suggest a single person needs around **ยฃ32,700 a year** for a *moderate* retirement.

Compare that with the full new State Pension of around **ยฃ12,548 a year**.

Of course, everyone's circumstances are different โ€” but I'm approaching 60, and for me, doing nothing isn't the option I'm choosing.

There are always options.

And that's what I'm increasingly interested in exploring.

So I'd genuinely love to hear from people in their 40s, 50s and 60s:

Have you found your solution?

Perhaps you're increasing your pension contributions, building another income, investing, downsizing, planning to work differently โ€” or you're still trying to figure it out.

What are you doing to create more financial choice for the future?

Customer, Partner or Connector โ€” which one sounds most like you? ๐Ÿค”

One thing people sometimes misunderstand about Utility Warehouse is that there isn't only one way to get involved.

๐Ÿ’œ CUSTOMER = SAVE
Review your own household services and see whether UW makes sense for you.

๐Ÿ’› PARTNER = BUILD
Help other people and potentially build an additional income alongside what you already do.

๐Ÿค CONNECTOR = INTRODUCE
Know somebody who might benefit? Make the introduction without building a UW business yourself.

None is automatically better than another.

It really comes down to the level of involvement that suits you.

I've explained the differences properly here ๐Ÿ‘‡
https://businessopportunityplus.co.uk/utility-warehouse-partner-success-tips/customer-partner-or-connector/

Which would you choose โ€” SAVE, BUILD or INTRODUCE?

I've been thinking about this quite a lot lately.

For most of my working life, I'd have said that having a good, reliable job meant you were financially secure.

At 59, I'm not so sure anymore.

If one employer provides 100% of your income, then losing that job potentially means losing 100% of your income.

It's one of the reasons I've become increasingly interested in building different sources of income โ€” and why building my Utility Warehouse business alongside everything else I do makes sense to me.

I'm certainly not suggesting everyone should give up their job. Quite the opposite.

I'm suggesting that perhaps having a **Plan B** isn't such a bad idea.

I'd genuinely be interested in what other people think.

**Is one good job still financial security?** ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ‘‡

๐Ÿ  Can you combine your household bills with one provider?

Energy with one company. Broadband with another. Different mobile accounts. Insurance somewhere else. Before long, managing household services can become more complicated than it needs to be.

Bringing selected services together can make things simpler โ€” but it doesnโ€™t automatically mean moving everything, and it isnโ€™t always the right choice for every household.

In my latest article, I look at:

โœ… What combining household service accounts actually means
โœ… How Utility Warehouseโ€™s one-account, one-bill approach works
โœ… What happens when services are in different names
โœ… What to consider before moving broadband, mobile, energy or insurance
โœ… Why convenience is useful โ€” but suitability still comes first

The aim isnโ€™t to bundle everything for the sake of it. Itโ€™s to understand your options and decide what genuinely works for your household.

๐Ÿ’œ Could you start a Utility Warehouse business alongside what you already do?

You don't need to leave your job or suddenly become a salesperson.

UW currently costs ยฃ10 to join as a Partner, with a ยฃ3 monthly fee from month four for training, support and tools.

From there, it's about learning the basics, talking to people you may be able to help and building consistently.

There is upfront income available for eligible customers โ€” currently up to ยฃ300 โ€” as well as the potential to build ongoing income from your customer base.

I've put together a full guide explaining how the business works, what it costs and what you should consider before joining ๐Ÿ‘‡

No hype. No guaranteed earnings. Just a proper look at the opportunity so you can decide whether it suits you.

๐Ÿบ What do a couple of pints in a pub and more than 1.4 MILLION customers have in common?

Strangely enoughโ€ฆ Utility Warehouse. ๐Ÿ’œ

The business behind UW began 30 years ago following a conversation in Henley-on-Thames.

Fast forward three decades and UW now looks after millions of home services for more than 1.4 million customers.

Those are impressive numbers.

But the bit I like most?

After 30 years, so much of it still comes down to something very simpleโ€ฆ

People talking to people. ๐Ÿค

From a chat over a couple of pints to 1.4 million customers.

Quite a story โ€” and we're still writing it.

You donโ€™t need to be a salesperson to make money from Utility Warehouse. ๐Ÿ‘€

Thereโ€™s a much simpler option called becoming a **Connector**.

No explaining tariffs.
No becoming a utility expert.
No building a team.

You simply make genuine introductions โ€” and qualifying introductions may earn you a reward.

Could it suit you? ๐Ÿค”

๐Ÿ’ท When did you last properly audit your household bills?

Not just look at your energy bill or check a broadband offer โ€” but actually sit down and look at what youโ€™re paying for across the household.

Energy โšก
Broadband ๐Ÿ›œ
Mobiles ๐Ÿ“ฑ
Insurance ๐Ÿ

A really simple approach is to put each one into one of three categories:

โœ… KEEP IT
๐Ÿ” REVIEW IT
โ“ ASK A QUESTION

You might be surprised by what you discover.

Iโ€™ve put together a practical guide to carrying out your own household bill audit here:

๐Ÿ’ท QUICK QUESTION: When did you last properly audit your household bills?

Itโ€™s surprisingly easy to keep paying for energy, broadband, mobiles and insurance month after month without stopping to ask:

๐Ÿ‘‰ Is this still right for us?
๐Ÿ‘‰ When does the contract end?
๐Ÿ‘‰ Are we actually using what weโ€™re paying for?
๐Ÿ‘‰ Could this be simpler?

And it doesnโ€™t need to involve spending half a day chasing the absolute cheapest deal.

One very simple approach is to put each bill into one of three categories:

โœ… KEEP โ€” youโ€™re happy with it
๐Ÿ”Ž REVIEW โ€” something has changed or itโ€™s due another look
โ“ ASK A QUESTION โ€” thereโ€™s something you donโ€™t understand

That alone can make household finances feel considerably more manageable.

Iโ€™ve written a new practical guide to carrying out a **household bill audit**, including energy, broadband, mobile and insurance โ€” and when it might make sense to consider bringing some household services together.

No hype. No assumption that everything needs changing. Just a sensible starting point. ๐Ÿ‘
