We’re looking for a talented and ambitious .net developer to join our team for a challenging role in south Pembrokeshire.

We'd like to hear from individuals looking to settle at a small software company and grow to become a key player in a more senior position over time.

Applicants should have some commercial .net development experience but developers at any stage in their career are welcome to apply and we are more interested in finding someone who will be the right fit for the company rather than the number of years experience.

The developer will be involved in all stages of the development process and not just coding, and the developer will be expected to take ownership of the projects assigned. You will need to get stuck in and apply your efforts towards whatever type of work needs doing at the time. You will hold yourself to high standards of work and want to deliver robust and considered solutions to meet the objectives of the customer while providing users with a good user experience.

The role will eventually grow into a team leader position with developers working under your direction, however the pace will be dependent on the individual and the appropriate time needed for professional growth. Applications are also welcome from developers who are already working in a senior position with management responsibilities and want to go directly into a senior position at Writemedia.

The position is fully office based however the company is planning to trial hybrid working at a suitable time once certain company and staff objectives are met.

There will be opportunities to learn and be involved in mobile app development if desired.

Salary offered will be specific to the individual and the experience they bring. Flexible starting date and interview times are possible.

A talented graduate is needed for a variety of WEB, .NET and Mobile projects at our office in Pembroke Dock. Successful candidates will need to be able to demonstrate a passion and competency for programming. Knowledge of any of the following technologies would be an advantage but is not required provided that the candidate can demonstrate that they have strong general programming capabilities.

Writemedia is looking for a professional and well organised individual to support the Developers in our software company in Pembroke Dock. The role will be an interesting one including system testing, client liaison support and training on our systems.

People from a range of experience levels are welcome to apply, including those looking to get started in the industry. Applicants should be able to show that they would be comfortable talking to customers in a professional way and have a strong interest in technology.

The following qualities would be an advantage:
- Great customer service skills
- Good communication skills and be comfortable talking to people from a wide range of technical backgrounds
- Be very organised and able to keep track of many small daily enquiries as well as longer term jobs
- Be able to make judgments on priorities based on the needs of customers, and the existing work schedule
- previous experience or qualifications in a technology related industry/field would be an advantage but not essential
- Any knowledge of CMS systems would be an advantage, but not essential

Applicants are not expected to be familiar with the Systems used and full training will be provided.

Responsibilities will include:
- Making content updates for customers using the Umbraco content management system for websites, or bespoke admin systems where applicable
- Helping explain to customers how to carry out a desired action in a system or website via written explanation or over the phone
- Carrying out a first line support function, including:
-- Attempting to reproduce reported issues and understand what the customer has tried to do
-- Understanding the impact of an issue on a customer
-- Helping the customer with possible workarounds or alternative solutions to achieve what they want in a different way
-- Organising outstanding support tickets and reminding developers if necessary when an intervention is required
- Carrying out testing on new developments being carried out for clients, and help ensure the system meets the expectations of the customer before delivery
- Occasionally taking part in customer requirements meetings, taking notes, relaying information to developers and seeking further clarification from customers
- Documenting customer requirements for planned developments
- Occasionally carrying out customer training
- Occasionally creating user help documentation
- Assisting with administrative tasks related to customer support and service delivery

We are excited to announce the launch of What is your SQ? - Snooker’s first ever global, data-backed, skills-based handicap system. Players can register and compare their snooker skills accurately with others from all over the world.

The SQ website has been developed by former World Champion and grand slam winner, Terry Griffiths, OBE, in conjunction with work developed and carried out by Hong Kong Head Coach, Wayne Griffiths. Wayne is Terry’s eldest son and he has been the Billiard Sports Head Coach at the Hong Kong Institute of Spot for more than 10 years.

We have created Snooker Quotients both a front-facing website and a member only web system, as well as a mobile app to act as a companion where users could upload videos and keep track of their scores and submissions.

Snooker Quotients is Snooker’s first ever global, data-backed, skills-based handicap system. Players can register and compare their snooker skills accurately with others from all over the world.

A talented web designer is needed to join our team in Pembroke Dock to work on a wide variety of projects.

Applicants should have a great knowledge of HTML and CSS, be competent with Javascript, and be comfortable using a graphic design package such as Photoshop. You should also be able to provide many examples of previous work using relevant skills.

The role will be interesting one carrying out work for a wide range of clients and different project types including websites, mobile applications and admin systems.

We’re looking for a talented Front-end web developer to join our team. If you love a challenge, enjoy working with an incredibly diverse client base and live to build the web then this is the position for you.

Applicants must have:

• A thorough and advanced knowledge of HTML/CSS
• An intimate knowledge of UI/UX best practices.
• Be able to take a project from wireframes/designs through to a HTML website
• Experience building responsive interfaces
• A solid understanding of Javascript & jQuery

In addition, the ideal applicant would have:

• Strong knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite
• A strong and varied portfolio
• Knowledge of using GIT/Source control
• Experience using Visual Studio
• Experience designing mobile app interfaces

Any knowledge of CMS systems (preferably Umbraco) is a plus.

Queen Elizabeth High School's website had become extremely dated, with an old unresponsive design and limited functionality. They wanted a new website to better reflect their ethos, with a fresh modern design showcasing the best that the school has to offer.

We built a website using Umbraco CMS to give them great control and flexibility over various components that they can easily manage to arrange content to their choosing. The site would need to be able to share a number of important resources, news, events, photos and more. Having a website that could present these elements in different ways, looking good across all devices, was vital to the new design.

A Boeboes home is the space you love to go to and the place where you dream to be. Boeboes is a brand inspired by comfort and cosiness, and takes great pride in being ‘Made in Great Britain’.

Boeboes wanted a website to showcases their blinds, curtains and cushions. The emphasis throughout the site would be on their stylish modern design as well as friendly user experience.

As part of their quality user experience, Boeboes required us to make an eCommerce site full of flexibility, allowing users to build their own blinds. The product pages needed to be fully customisable, providing previews of the products depending on the materials selected. We also created an interactive step-by-step blind creator, creating an intuitive user experience to help increase sales.

The website was built using Umbraco CMS alongside the Snipcart payment integration to manage eCommerce orders and payments.
