DM plc was formed in 2004.

The acquisition of Data Locator Group Ltd (DLG) in November 2008 and PDV in April 2009 presented the group with the opportunity to rapidly establish its influential market position in consumer lifestyle database marketing. It is now the UK’s largest provider of consumer lifestyle data.
Accolade Publishing Ltd joined the group and operates the largest online comping websites, including www.theprizefinder.com and www.compersnews.com. Adrian Williams acquired the business and assets of the Transactis datapool in July 2017. In July 2017 the acquisition of the business and assets of the Transactis datapool enhanced the group further as the huge datapool includes the transactional data of the some of the largest Mail Order businesses in the UK. MyOffers 2019 Ltd, an online permission marketing company connecting UK consumers with Special Offers, was acquired in October 2019.
