A week of two's

Starting on Monday with two curtain lorries for A.C. timber. Curtains require a specific vinyl, and applying to a flexible surface can be tricky, but we have done lots of curtains in the past, and after the customer tried several more local signwriters we were the only ones willing to take on the job.

The next pair was for Kindlelight, who have just brought two shinny new vans.
With better weather, these were done on site at two locations whilst their guys carry on with their days work.

The final pair are different companies, but both chose the same style of sign, which in this case was CNC flat cut letters made from 5mm white acrylic and fixed in place on locator fixings.

With the sun shining on this bank holiday weekend, there is no need to get the ark out, so let's see if the two by two carries on next week.

Very busy at L&S Signs HQ

Multiple vehicles, lots of signs, and thousands of printed stckers/labels through our online platforms out the door.

The big one for this week is this VW Crafter van delivered Monday as a plain white van with rear chevrons, we handed this back to the customer with a full gloss black wrap and livery.

A couple of other jobs include a local livery job for South Cambs Landscaping and a not so local trip to Royal Windsor horse show to swap signs for a food vendor we do a lot of work for.

After a 2 week break for Easter holidays, we are back working flat out.

With a large number of vehicles to signwrite over the next few weeks, we get started with these ones.

Kerb Appeal have a new alloy wheel refurb van operating in the Huntingdon area, easily identifiable now that we have fitted the livery.

Additional vans for North Herts Surfacing and RTJ Property Maintenance to round out this post.

EMG at Huntingdon is the latest site to have a refit and
we provide a lot of vinyl graphics, including window frosting and tiniting. We have mirror tinted the high-level windows using one of our scissor lifts as we as around 40 linear meters of window frosting.

Royston will very soon be boasting an art gallery thanks to Nicholas penn on market Hill.

Rand logistics have refurbished a 40ft curtain side trailer. We don't make the curtains, but the rear door wrap is right up our street, and another trip out for our smallest scissor lift made this job a doddle.

More window frosting, when you need privacy on glass but don't want to block the light out, frost vinyl is the answer.

Another answer for livery on tipper trucks when the tipping bed itself is not suitable for vinyl graphics is to print a board and rivet it to the original panel. Perfect graphics and a fresh new looking tail board at the same time.

We do livery and wraps for all sorts of vehicles, but the Case Quadtrac 715 is a new one for us.

Not only is this the only 715 in the country, but it is now the only one with a wrapped roof/bonnet.

Wrapping the roof of this monster that is close to 4m high required the use of our boom lift. This allowed us to get right alongside the roof at working height without actually being on it, which was crucial as you can't wrap a panel you are standing on.

Royston Evangelical Church has been renamed Crist Church Royston, and as such, we had to remove and refit the updated acrylic wall sign.
Sign removed, updated, and refitted in less than 3 hours.

Having the capability and getting jobs done in a timely fashion are just two of the many reasons we have a constantly busy diary.

Fully wrapped catering trailer with printed graphics for Spudz Mash n Dash. This won't be missed driving down the road with a 7ft tall Spud on the side!

Churros Boyz ordered a built up/illuminated sign for their mobile kitchen. At nearly 4m wide it will be big enough to be seen from a good distance away and even better when it is dark outside.

Harrison Electrical is a local company having a rebrand and we are only to happy to update the vehicle livery to match.

Another catering trailer wrap is completed, and graphics will be added next week.

Custom-made chapter 8 livery for this tanker truck is the only way when the panels are non-standard.

Newmarket town council took delivery of a new service van, so it was strip and clean the old one and install livery on the new one.

Multiple jobs currently on the go, so this coming week will be another busy one.

The weather has not been great this week, but during the breaks in the wind and rain, we went out and got multiple jobs signed off.

As well as this lot production has begun for a 3m x 1m illuminated tray sign for an upcoming job (pics and production video coming soon), and on Monday, we will be installing all the printed dibond panels we made this week when the weather kept us inside.
