🧡 Here’s why we’re sponsoring a deckchair at One More Lap for Kids Village

One More Lap is a 12-hour team ultra relay around Stowe Pool in Lichfield that’s 100% for charity — but the vibe is far more day-long festival than grim endurance challenge. Music, food, ridiculous fancy dress, and an atmosphere you have to see to believe. Our very own Jess has taken part two years running and absolutely loves it. 🏃🏽‍♀️

Best of all, it’s completely free for runners to take part. In return for a day they’ll never forget, they do an incredible amount of fundraising for Lichfield children’s charity Kids’ Village — £58,180 so far, to be precise.
But it costs a lot of money to put on a free event. Without entry fees, One More Lap can only run thanks to the support of its sponsors. So sponsoring a deckchair for just £50 doesn’t only allow runners to run — it lets them fundraise. And that helps Kids’ Village build the UK’s first respite holiday village just for children with critical illness, right here in the Staffordshire countryside.

Something this positive, this close to home, is surely a good thing to get behind. Huge credit to Ian Covey, whose hard work has turned One More Lap into what it is today — properly inspiring stuff. ✨
