🎄 CALLING ISLE OF WIGHT ARTISTS, CRAFTERS & LOCAL PRODUCERS 🎄

I may have a little idea brewing… 👀❤️
While we continue searching for a permanent new home for Ztam & Co, I’m looking into the possibility of running a Christmas pop-up shop for the lead-up to Christmas.

Nothing is confirmed yet, but if I can find the right premises to rent, ( I have inquired on a few and waiting to hear back ) I’d ideally love to open for around 6 weeks ( mid nov to Xmas eve ) and fill it with beautiful products from Isle of Wight artists, crafters, makers and local producers. 🎁

Before I go too far with the idea, I’d like to get an idea of how many people would potentially be interested in having their products in the pop-up.

I’d also love to hear from new sellers who may be interested.

This is very much in the “Kelly has had another idea” stage at the moment 😂, but after everything we built with Ztam & Co, I’d love nothing more than to bring lots of Island makers back together again for Christmas.

Rose has joined the drey at Quarr Abbey! 🎄🐿️

I'm so proud and excited to announce that my Rose the Red Squirrel™️ Christmas decorations are now available to buy in Quarr Abbey Teashop & Farm Shop.

Tingle Tangle – featuring Rose's less-than-successful attempt to help with the Christmas lights, and Wight Christmas – a fun favourite that's back again this year.

This feels like a very special moment for Rose and for my small business, and I'm honestly over the moon. Seeing Rose stocked at such a special Isle of Wight location is a huge milestone for me, and I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunity.

If you can't make it to Quarr Abbey, don't worry, you can still order directly from me online. But if you can get there, it's a lovely place - one of my favourites, which makes this all the more special to me.

SHOP PREMISES WANTED – RYDE AREA 🤞

Hi everyone,

As many of you know, we recently had to close the doors of Ztam & Co after 2½ years, and we are still desperately searching for the right new home for the shop.

We’ve already spoken to the main commercial agents and looked into most of the premises currently being advertised, so I thought I’d ask the community in case anyone knows of something coming available soon that hasn’t reached the market yet.

Ideally we’re looking for a retail premises in *Ryde or the surrounding area*, with:

• A decent-sized shop floor
• Good frontage/window space
• Somewhere suitable for a busy gift and craft shop
• Sensible rent and overall running costs
• Ideally enough space for our local makers and sellers

Ztam & Co supported over 100 Isle of Wight artists, crafters, small businesses and charities , and we would absolutely love to get the doors open again as soon as we can.

If you’re a landlord, know someone with an empty shop, or have heard of anything that may be becoming available soon, please drop me a private message.

Even if it’s not officially advertised yet, we’d love to hear about it.

Well… it’s been a whole week since we closed the doors of Ztam & Co. ❤️

Last Tuesday was our final trading day, and after that it was straight into packing mode.

We packed everything away, flat-packed all the units and somehow managed to turn the shop from being completely full to completely empty in what felt like five minutes and five years all at once. 😂

On Thursday the removers Charlie Hobson came and took everything, apart from the stock, into storage. Thank you Kirsty 😘
The stock is currently in my living room and craft room 😆

Then on Saturday we handed the keys back.

And just like that… that chapter was officially over.

I’ve had a little bit of time now to reflect, get my head around everything and actually take in what the last 2½ years meant.

So I really wanted to say some proper thank yous.

A huge thank you to Helen and Charlie for giving us the opportunity to have the shop above The Duck in the first place. Without that opportunity, Ztam & Co would never have grown into what it became.

To my family — thank you for all your support, help, lifting, carrying, listening, encouraging and putting up with the madness.

To my friends — thank you for always being there for me, especially through these last few emotional weeks.

To my wonderful sellers — thank you for trusting us with your creations and allowing us to sell your work. You were such a huge part of what made the shop so special.

To every single customer who walked through the doors — thank you.

Whether you came in once, came in every week, bought something, had a browse, stopped for a chat or brought friends and family in with you, you all helped make the shop what it was.

To everyone who liked, commented on and shared my Facebook posts — thank you. Every share really did help us reach more people and keep the shop going.

And a very special shout-out to my amazing husband, Dee

He has been absolutely incredible through all of this.

From the practical stuff, to the endless jobs, to putting up with my ideas, stress, tears, overthinking and probably far too many conversations about shops at ridiculous times of the morning. 😂

I genuinely couldn’t have done it without him.

And my incredible kids and partners you have all been amazing in supporting and helping us.

So where are we now?

Well… we are still working hard behind the scenes trying to find Ztam & Co’s next home.

I really hope it won’t be too long because, I’m not going to lie…

It has only been ONE WEEK and I am already going slightly stir crazy. 🤣

I’m have post shop blues already.😞

So fingers crossed this is just a little pause before Ztam & Co Part 3 begins.

💔 TOMORROW IS OUR VERY LAST DAY 💔

I can’t quite believe I’m writing this.
It still doesn’t feel real.

We’ve had so many laughs, so many lovely customers, so many incredible sellers and so many memories made in this little space.

There have been late nights, early mornings, endless rearranging, lots of coffee, lots of chaos and a huge amount of love poured into Ztam & Co.

And tomorrow, we open the doors here for the very last time.

If you’ve been meaning to come in, please do pop by.

Come and have one last look around.

Come and grab a bargain.

Come and say hello.

Come and help us finish this chapter on a lovely note. ❤️

Today’s post is a very special thank you ❤️

Today I want to say a huge thank you to all of my wonderful sellers who have kindly donated some of their unsold stock to my mum for her fundraising for Isle of Wight Association for Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus

This means more to us than I can really put into words.

My mum Donna works incredibly hard to raise much-needed funds for a charity that is very close to our hearts. Both my sister and I were born with spina bifida, so this is something that has always been a very personal part of our family’s story.

Mum has been fundraising for them for over 35 years, and she has put so much time, love and energy into helping support the charity and the people who rely on it.

So to every seller who has chosen to donate stock rather than take it home, please know that your kindness will genuinely help.

Those items will go on to raise money for a cause that means the absolute world to our family. ❤️

At a time when the shop coming to an end is already incredibly emotional, seeing people still thinking of others and wanting to help has really touched us.

Thank you so, so much for your generosity and support.

And a big thank you to everyone who has bought items off mums charity shelfs or put there change into the charity tin. It’s all really appreciated ❤️

And Mum… thank you for everything you have done, and continue to do, after all these years. We are incredibly proud of you. ❤️

Only 3 trading days left. 💔

I’ve sat here trying to think of what to write, and honestly… I don’t think there are any words that are enough.

After 2½ years, we are down to just 3 days left in our shop.

The photos below are of some of the stock we still have left, but the shop is changing by the hour now as more items sell and more sellers collect.

It’s starting to look emptier.

And that’s probably the bit that hurts the most.

Seeing spaces appear where there used to be shelves full of beautiful things, displays I’d spent ages messing about with, and products from so many amazing local makers.

It suddenly makes it all feel very final.

If you’ve been meaning to come in, please do.

Come and have one last look around.

Come and grab something you love.

Come and say hello.

Because after Tuesday, this chapter really does close.

🚨 ONLY 4 TRADING DAYS LEFT 🚨
I honestly can’t quite believe we are down to just FOUR days left in our current shop. 😞❤️

After 2½ years here, it’s all starting to feel very real now.

The shelves are slowly changing as more sellers collect their stock, the shop looks a little different every day, and every time someone says, “I can’t believe you’re closing,” it hits me all over again.

But we are still here for these final few days, and we would absolutely love to see as many of you as possible before we close the doors.

There are still lots of beautiful handmade products, gifts, craft supplies and closing-down bargains available, and we’re adding things to the sale as we go. Mum has been in with me today and she has been reducing stock even more. So now the prices really great bargains.

So if you’ve been meaning to pop in, now really is the time. ❤️

Come and have one last wander around, grab a bargain, support one of our amazing sellers, have a chat, or just come in and say hello.

Wow what a busy day today. So lovely to see so many people coming in to support us in our final days.
And everyone’s certainly got some great bargains.

One lady come in today and did all her Xmas shopping early. She has shopped with us each year being open and says she always prides herself on only buying island made gifts for Xmas & birthdays and she was gutted when she found out we was closing so she come in and did it all early and she asked me to promise her we will have another place before next Xmas so she can carrying buying handmade and support us and our artist & crafters.
