It's been a pleasure working with such a dedicated team of volunteers who are making a massive difference providing a valuable facility to the local and wider community. The new St Albans Track website https://stalbanstrack.co.uk/ has the flexibility to evolve with the charity which will be an exciting journey to be part of.
The management of Abbey View Athletics Track has been taken over by St Albans Athletic Club to ensure its long-term future.
The Council, which owns the facility in Verulamium Park, has agreed a deal with the club’s charity.
Its volunteer workers will seek to raise funds for improvements to the track including a new Pavilion.
They are now operating the track with the details of a long-term lease to be determined within the next few months.
