Nice to see your work helping young people suffering with FOP and their families as they start school in September π β€οΈ
It's DAY THREE of back-to-school week in the US and many countries around the world πππ
This can be a stressful time for FOP families - we're here to share some valuable resources to make your child's transition smoother β€οΈ
Check out the book, "Supporting a Child with FOP: A Practical Guide to Their Learning Journey," by FOP Friends. It details FOP in a reader-friendly manner, while providing invaluable advice: fopfriends.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/Supporting-a-child-with-FOP-a-practical-guide-to-their-learning-journey-.pdf
The Portuguese version of the guide was also written by FOP Friends. Helen Bedford-Gay collaborated with Kryscia Napoli, mother of Vitor who lives with FOP, and Dr. Patricia Delai. It offers specific advice for children in Brazil:https://fopfriends.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/FOP_School_Brazil_-Handbook_Web-red-compressed_compressed-2.pdf
Our Family Service Coordinator, Melissa Davis, is here to help you with your back-to-school needs, requests and questions. Contact Melissa: ifopa.org/staff π π π
