It's a wonderful feeling you get when you receive an email saying something like this. It's a reminder that the services I offer are life-changing.

This client came to me not really knowing what she needed, but rather anxious about being the mother-of-the-groom and needing to look the part on her son's special day.

She is a vet, so usually wears very casual trousers, fleeces, or scrubs when operating. She rarely wears makeup and I feel had slipped into the 'why bother?' mentality that I find is so common amongst many working women.

We started with colour analysis and found the colours that made her look more in focus, younger and brighter. With this knowledge, we then found the most fabulous outfit for her for the wedding. Finding the perfect dress isn't too hard, but finding it in the right size and in stock proved to be more of a challenge! Miraculously, we found the exact dress, two sizes larger than needed, on eBay, at a fraction of the price. This was expertly altered to fit and the dressmaker was able to make a bespoke jacket to match. A local wedding shop provided the shoes, bag and hat, so that was the outfit sorted.

Next, we arranged a session to try out her wedding makeup. As someone who rarely wears makeup, it was crucial to create a very natural look so that she didn't feel uncomfortable and was able to apply it herself. This involved trying a number of looks and colour options until we achieved the perfect balance of definition and authenticity.

This week, I am looking forward to leading her through her Style day. During this full-day session, she will discover how her body architecture and personality inform the clothing styles and fits that will look best on her. I can't wait!

Looking great on the outside is powerful, but feeling great, knowing that your clothes and style are accurately reflecting who you are on the inside, is where the magic happens.
