Caed Parker, one of our resident artists, created the artwork for this weekend's Saltburn Food Festival , we love the innovative design that uses the iconic Saltburn Pier as a platter. You may have seen Caed's artwork for the festival displayed locally.

It's almost festival time again! This year my posters have made it to centre stage in Darlington station.

I was delighted to be commissioned by my very own home from home, Saltburn Studios and Gallery. They asked me to document and present our latest collaborative body of work, A Canvas Carousel 13 Artists, 13 Canvases – 169 images!

I have created a video documenting the evolution of each canvas as it is worked on by each artist. Confused? Find out more by visiting our Facebook, Saltburn Studios and Gallery, our website www.saltburnstudios.org.uk, or better still come and see the exhibition for yourself!

Opens on the 6th May and runs until 25th June 2017.

'This exhibition is about the process behind the image you see on the canvas. We started with 13 blank canvases for 13 artists. Each artist created an image on one canvas which was then passed to another artist who was free to respond in any way they wanted to. This process was repeated until the work had circulated round all 13 artists. Come and see the finished pieces of work and look behind the scenes at this challenging and interesting creative proces. Prints of all the Images will be for sale and can be ordered when you visit. The Gallery is open every weekend 12 – 4pm and is stewarded by our Studio Artists so you can meet the artists involved in the project.'

It won't be long!
Saltburn Food Festival is coming to town on the 31 July 2016 for the 4th year running!

I have worked on the marketing material for the Food Festival with Lorna from Real meals delicatessen from it's inception 4 years ago and have loved being the designer for what is one of the towns biggest and brightest anual events.

Coming up with something new to do with Saltburn Pier was a real head scratcher but I love the challenge and I am chuffed with the result. I had better start thinking of what to do for next year!..
