I don't normally talk politics on here but I am appalled by this local councillor (​Sarah Mason) using AI to generate a new and completely unnecessary logo for the Scarborough town council, boasting about how it is "free" and will cost us "nothing."

AI costs us our local talent, it costs resources and power too. There are plenty of talented graphic designers, illustrators and creatives in the area. If Councillor Thomas and Sarah Mason are endorsing this and really wanted a cheap or free option, they could have got in touch with local schools/colleges/unis art courses and it been a good project for their portfolio.

As a graphic designer in the area, I find it absolutely disgusting, degrading and insulting that people with this much influence in the town can just use AI to make a new town logo, and proudly tell the press too.

Leaves a bad taste in one's mouth, and a lack of confidence in this council.

Scarborough’s recently formed town council is set to adopt a new official emblem for the body.

Late diagnosis alert! 🚨 it turns out after many forms filled, questionnaires completed and assessments done that I've not just been a quirky, creative, obsessive, and socially awkward artist my whole life 🧠🎨 it was autism all along! Here is to the future of knowing myself and others actually giving me the accommodations I need ✊🏻

I don't post on here much nowadays as I rarely take on freelance and actually value my free time alongside full time work (gigs, dates, days and nights out, mini breaks...) - but I'm really excited that VHS tapes are coming back so I'm making a post 😆 recently did a run of 250 Evil Dead II tapes with artwork by so I was alright sold. The design is honestly great and it fits in extremely well with the rest of this one shelf!

I'm number 48 out of 250 🥳

My lovely client Lilly the red tailed boa & reptile rescue invited me to see the new premises for the rescue! Dexter knows exactly what he's doing with the animals he takes in. I highly recommend supporting this cause, it's important to have better animal welfare everywhere and a very important cause for me as an animal lover.

If everyone can get involved, there are opportunities to hold the resident exotics too, and sponsorship options.

There's a lot more I'll be putting into leaflets soon! Again, please visit and/or donate! 🐍🦎
