A little appreciation for some of my wardrobe faves 🤎

In honour of , here are four pieces I’ve found over the last two years:

🖤 Chinti & Parker knitted jacket — Charity Super.Mkt. Unworn, tags still on and a fraction of the original price.

🤎 Arket striped shirt — Thrift+ . I was actually about to buy a new Hush brown & white stripe shirt when I found this one. Fate!

🤎 Scotch & Soda cardigan - purchased a few weeks ago at Through Your Wardrobe, Rye. It was 30°C outside, but I knew I’d regret leaving it behind.

🤎 Glassworks tartan blazer — Vinted. I’m desperate for trousers to go with the blazer now.

As a personal stylist, I’m always encouraging my clients to shop their own wardrobes first — and when something is missing, secondhand fashion can be a brilliant place to look.

Anyone watched the WHAM! 10 days in China film yet? Absolutely fascinating stuff and really enjoyable.

In tribute to gorgeous George and Andrew, I had some fun yesterday trying to recreate two outfits from Wham in China. Andrew’s tartan outfits are awesome but I don’t have the trousers to go for the full stage look. I will be adding tartan trousers to my Autumn Vinted wish list though!

I attempted George’s white suit - again I don’t have white trousers so had to make do with cream jeans. It’s minus a couple of finer details but I tried my best.

How did I do? See my stories for videos from the film to compare ⬆️. Anyway all for fun but I definitely will wear this tartan look again. Think full on white and cream is dangerous as cannot keep that clean for five minutes!

If you love George Michael and Wham, the film is well worth a watch. Magical times, sadly long gone ❤️

Summer hasn’t quite gone as planned but my bad back is slowly on the mend and I am so grateful for a lovely day by the sea at Tankerton Slopes and Whitstable. I’ve been weaving in and out of these beach huts since I was a kid and obvs can’t resist an pic in front of them. My daughter had picture fatigue by the time we did the orange beach hut (haven’t included that one you’ll be grateful to know).

It was great to finally pop into Preloved Fashion NO.86 where I picked up two precious stone bracelets to add to my stack. Loads of other gorgeous clothes and bits and bobs in there. I had to walk away from the Sunnies but was very tempted! Definitely pop in if you’re down there.

Carrying on the jacket theme from my previous post. Here is my fave oversized denim, which I’ve had a good few years now and I’ve worn these ZARA trousers from last year sooo much. The top was preloved Zara from Vinted, which you can’t see too well here but I really liked the combination of the three together Plus accessories (always 😉).

90’s nostalgia moment. Baker boy hats are back (although did they ever really leave?). I had one when I left school and wore it everyday to College for two years. I still have it for sentimental reasons.

It got me thinking about how much I still wear hats and rely on them when my barnet is all over the place. They can really make an outfit. Are you a hat fan?

What I wore this weekend to a gorgeous Summer wedding ✨

I bought this especially as the dress I had planned to wear for months from my wardrobe just wouldn’t have been bearable in the heat.

So a change of plan led to love at first sight for me and this RIXO dress from The Clever Dresser | Luxury Clothes & Styling Sevenoaks. The dress code was colour and whilst the dress has lots of it, it is subtle in tone. It does have the most beautiful gold thread running through it so thought my faithful gold Esska Shoes had to come out the wardrobe. Went for bolder accessories, and nails, and loved the outcome especially as got to swish on the dance floor in this beauty. Will definitely reach for it again and again.
