From an old drawing I made for the lovely Phyl and Maggie who were great fans of this genius. I tried to make the picture like a Kitaj; filling it with clues. By his left hand are Scrabble pieces spelling ‘He’s Domino’ indicating his love of puzzles and games.
I would love to see ’Company’.
The songs are so funny and smart.

Got a chance to catch up with the gorgeous Kathryn Fiona Henderson at the weekend. Her visit served as a reminder of what a brilliant, funny and luminous person she is.
It's sad to think she's now so far away in the land of Oz, but her presence over the weekend brought an avalanche of great memories.

I’m very grateful to for organising the scanning of some ancient transparencies of paintings. This one was sold in Los Angeles I think in 1999. I could be wrong.
Miles comforts a disturbed Bud Powell in Birdland ( although the wallpaper is improvised ). Percy Heath looks embarrassed. I can’t remember what it was called but I’ll think of something when I make it into a Bull Note fantasy vinyl sleeve.

and .tyra I hope you both like this. It took a while because my old iPad melted and I was given this one by the irreplaceable !
I’ll never forget January 28th and the skill and humour with which you both possess in abundance. You turned what could have been a depressing and frightening Sunday night into one which not only mended my slightly broken heart, into one of the best nights of the year. You are an amazing double act and absolutely unforgettable.
