I hear people apologising for their file formats when sending their logo..
Being met with demands on file formats or quality when working with branding is just another unnecessary hump to overcome. This is why I decided to solve the problem instead of rolling my eyes like the rest of the industry.
So here is the boring technical bit: High quality formats for logos are PDF, SVG, ESP or PNG, but even if you transform your format it doesn’t magically become good for printing or scaling to your workwear. Format is one of many criteria to avoid pixelation. What is pixelation then? An image, text or your logo becomes blurry, distorted or overall bad quality - a result of an image being a size beyond its resolution so details are lost and appearance is worse. So the really simple question is how do we fix this?
Vector images! Technically speaking; Vectorisation means that your image gets transformed from pixels into, simply put, geometric shapes. For digital processing this is ideal and allows scaling. So whether you need the file to turn into merchandise, branded workwear or a website: a vector file will handle it. Exactly what you need as a business owner.
Let me just say that not everything should be vectorised though.. I have seen the mistakes before: Small details get lost in vectorising and real photographs become cartoonish. It’s important to know when to avoid vectorisation to not refigure your design but know which ones benefit from it. That is exactly why I let my team take care of clients' logos and remove the expectation of companies knowing it all themselves. Our knowledge and experience will quickly know where to reach to get logos to the highest quality. This year we have introduced free vectorisation on logos to meet our clients where they need our guidance. Doing branded workwear is simplified for clients purchasing (and our production) by going the extra mile.
