I never really shout about my achievements much. I’m a big believer in the proof of the world being found in actions, not words. Im proud of myself for this achievement, and not for the reason you think… 👀✨

Back in March/April, I won the Inspirational Student award for Enterprising. I was anonymously nominated by someone around me (and I still have no idea who it was to this day). I won this because of my dedication and drive towards building my freelance career and helping the people around me.

What surprised me is that I did all of this, not DISPITE my condition, but BECAUSE of it. I started my freelance journey because I knew that building a career with my health issues would be hard, and I wanted a way to work and do what I love without sacrificing my health. The entire night of these awards, I was in pain. The bright lights were causing a migraine and I was exhausted from a flare-up I was having that week. But even with the wobbly feeling in my head and the strain in my body, I did it all. Not DESPITE my condition, but with it, hand in hand. I got up in a morning and worked from bed when I was too sore to move, and I built something for myself.

With the right accommodations, alterations and working conditions in place, people living with Chronic Pain, Fibromyalgia, PoTS and CFS can live a happy life, not DISPITE, but WITH their conditions..
