"Do I need a new website before running Google Ads?"
Another question I get asked all the time.
And just like most things in marketing, the answer isn't a simple yes or no.
I've seen businesses spend thousands rebuilding a website before launching ads when they didn't actually need to.
I've also seen businesses pour money into Google Ads, only to wonder why they're not getting results because the website wasn't capable of converting visitors in the first place.
The reality is that every situation is different.
It depends on things like:
→ How well your current website performs
→ How users are moving through the site
→ Whether it's generating enquiries or sales already
→ The long-term cost effectiveness of improving versus rebuilding
Sometimes the best option is to launch campaigns and gather data straight away.
Other times, investing in the foundations first can save a lot of wasted ad spend and deliver a much stronger return in the long run.
In this video, I talk through how we assess this for clients at Right Hook and the key things to consider before making the decision 👇
