Throwback to my very first content shoot… February 2024. 🥹

Still working full time.
A single mum to a 5-month-old.
Trying to build something of my own and, if I’m honest, wondering what the hell I was doing. 😂

I definitely didn’t know where it would lead… I just knew I had to give it a go.

Fast forward to now and content shoots have become such a huge part of my business.

How times have changed.

One of the best decisions I ever made was simply starting.

Build the business. But don’t forget to build the community around it. 🤍

Because sometimes your biggest opportunities come from rooms you weren’t even in.

The right people, the right connections and a community that genuinely supports you can be more powerful than any follower count.

Honest truths I’d tell my younger self ⬇️

1. It’s okay not to be okay.

2. Not everyone will like you… and that’s okay.

3. Failure isn’t the end. Sometimes it’s the thing that gets you where you need to be.

4. You’re capable of so much more than you think.

5. Don’t let anyone dull your sparkle.

6. Never change who you are just to make someone else comfortable.

7. Stop worrying so much about what other people think.

8. Some people are only meant to be in your life for a season.

9. Walking away doesn’t mean you’ve failed.

10. You don’t have to have everything figured out.

11. Your circle might get smaller, but it will get stronger.

12. Trust your gut. It’s usually right.

13. Asking for help isn’t a weakness.

14. You’re allowed to outgrow people, places and versions of yourself.

15. The things that feel like setbacks now might make sense later.

16. Protect your peace… not everyone deserves access to you.

17. Celebrate how far you’ve come instead of always looking at how far you have to go.

18. Take the photo. Go on the trip. Say yes to more things that scare you.

19. You can start again as many times as you need to.

20. Be unapologetically you. The right people will love you for it.

The most amazing week away with my favourite people 🤍

Making memories, laughing lots and actually switching off from work for 5 whole days… 😳

Scary? A little
Needed? Absolutely.

Sometimes you don’t realise how much you need to properly switch off until you actually do it.

Back home with a very full heart and some very special memories 🫶🏼

Today I heard something that really stuck with me:

“Assume everyone likes you.”

How often do we walk into a room already bracing ourselves for someone not to like us?

Worrying we’ll say the wrong thing.
That someone will judge our business.
That we’ll disappoint someone.
That we’re too much… or not enough.

We spend so much time worrying about what other people might think, based on absolutely no evidence that they’re thinking it.

And when you run a business and put yourself out there, it’s so easy to fall into that trap.

So I’m trying a different starting point:

Assume they like you. Assume they want you to do well. Assume you belong in the room.

And if someone doesn’t like you?

That’s okay too. You were never going to be for everyone. 🤍

A lovely morning at the Co-Work Collective organised by J A D E L I A N A✨

It was great to catch up with some familiar faces, meet lots of new ones and make some really meaningful connections.

A fantastic venue Vetro Lounge, a productive few hours and a reminder of how important it is to step away from your usual workspace every now and then.

It’s amazing what a change of scenery can do. Looking forward to the next one.

Not every productive day starts at a desk.

Sometimes it’s fresh air, a matcha, a notebook and an hour of uninterrupted thinking. ☀️

I’ve learnt that creating a calm space helps me think better, work better, and show up better for my clients.
