maths quiz for you...

A client pays £50 per month for maintenance.
Their site goes down for a few hours on a Saturday.
Their average lead is worth £600.

Question:
What is the real cost of “we’ll sort it Monday”?

And second question:
Is £50 a month “expensive”?

We have been working with one of the largest accountancy firms in the UK.

No paid ads.
No tricks.
Just consistent SEO and technical work.

We took a focused block of service keywords.
We moved them into the top 10 positions.
This includes one high competition term.
That keyword was outside the top 25
It now sits on page one.

Their monthly organic clicks grew from 1,400 to over 4000.
That is a 186% increase.

The number of keywords they rank for grew by 63%.
That means far more search visibility.
They now show up for far more relevant intent.

Traffic cost value went up by 80%.
If they tried to buy that same traffic with ads,
they would now pay nearly double.

No rebrand.
No full new site.
No content farm.

Just targeted SEO on what they actually offer.

If you are an established firm and you think:
“We already rank for our name, we are fine”
you are leaving money on the table.

This firm thought the same.
Now they don't.

What You Should Do Now.
Recommendations from https://bit.ly/3Wro1CQ

Audit your plugins & themes Check all your active plugins and themes. Are they maintained? When were they last updated? Are there known vulnerabilities? Remove or replace anything unsupported or risky.

Keep everything up to date WordPress core, themes, plugins. Regular updates reduce the window attackers have to exploit known vulnerabilities.

Use staging environments / backups Before applying updates or making changes, test in a staging environment. Always have backups you can restore if something goes wrong.

Emergency readiness Have a plan for when a critical vulnerability emerges. Can you respond quickly? Do you have support or service in place to get patches installed and damage mitigated?

What plan does your business have in place?

I had to tell a client “no” this week. I didn't really, but how many times have you see this on LinkedIn?
Id be interested in hearing genuine stories of this happening and why it happened.

Are you going to drown me in jargon and make me feel thick?

Most business owners are not technical. They hate feeling talked down to. A lot of ‘experts’ do this on purpose. If you do not understand, how can you make a decision?
My job is to explain it in plain English so you can make a choice. If I cannot explain it simply, you should not buy it.

Have you ever been spoken down to when looking for a service?

Things that scare people before they hire someone like GY Web. The main one is:

Are you going to disappear once you get paid?

Most people have been burned before. Someone sold them a site. Took the money. Went quiet.

Now they cannot get changes done. How many times have you heard this? The amount of work that goes into finding someones domain and trying to get access to it!

They cannot even get a reply.
They feel stupid for trusting them.

I get that worry. This is why we build long term, not hit and run. I stay on and keep the site working after launch. You will have one point of contact. Me.

Have you been stung before? Someone left you in the lurch? How hard is it to get access again to those domains!! :-)
