National metal recycling company, Enicor, located in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, has set a massive challenge - to raise £25,000 for Shelter to tackle the homelessness crisis that faces the UK. Their drivers saw more and more people sleeping rough and under bridges and wanted to make a difference.

As part of their very own ScrapBall Rally, they will drive three scrap cars across the UK, over to Northern France and Rome, visiting Shelter hubs along the way, starting in Sheffield.

We know there can be a lot going on at this time of year, so why not tick one thing off your to-do list and book in for us to pick up your real Christmas tree and recycle it for you! 🎄

Go to just-helping.org.uk to check we’re collecting in your postcode and sign up - it will only take a minute! In exchange for a donation of any size, our amazing volunteers will come to collect your real tree in the new year, then take it to be be recycled and turned into cosy bedding for the animals at Mayfield Alpacas Animal Park 🦙☺️

We needed some TLC on the weekend after all the Christmas shopping, so stayed at the lovely biodiversity boutique hotel who are committed to creating a haven for urban wildlife with a buzzing bug hotel, a rooftop wildlife bed and swift boxes. They give all guests including ourselves a free ‘Revive a Bee’ wildlife hexagon to plant at home, filled with daisy, poppy, and forget-me-not seeds to attract pollinators and absorb CO2. 🌳🌎 🐝

We checked out a couple of movies including the and Musafa: Lion King. 🦁

To wind down we took an evening stroll to take in all that Sheffield has to offer including the beautiful theatre buildings of the and Crucible . We ❤️ Sheffield!

So grateful for Sheffield Hamper Company at Leah's Yard - we chose a selection of food hampers full of delicious local produce for our families this Christmas. 🙌 🌲

A female entrepreneurial equality movement ‘SheSaysMore’ is brewing, pioneered by some of the top UK business women in the UK. It will raise awareness of the issues female founders face and will push for meaningful change - open access to government support for early-stage female entrepreneurs, tax breaks for female founders and improve the fact that only 15% of businesses in the UK are now owned or led by women, down from 18% in 2022 and 19% in 2021.

It will also drive for enhanced tax incentives for investors in female founders and workplace conditions. A mere 0.15% of UK businesses are female founded and £1m+ in revenue, vs 7.65% being male founded and £1m+ in revenue.
