We are Sherburn I was very touched today by Clare's words and the lovely card I received from the board, it's been so sad stepping down as a director of We Are Sherburn. However, I am leaving the group in a strong place, which together, we have built into a magnificent group of people which has already benefitted Sherburn and it's community. I'm positive this will only grow and get bigger and better!

Creative Shed will proudly remain a member and i'll see you at the meetings to discuss all things about local advertising, the Resident, the sherburninelmet.co.uk website or anything to do with Construction - as this is my specialist area! Come and chat to me as a member 🙂 - Marrieanne x

Ok, so think I maybe too excited about today’s amazing weather, but the blue sky and sunlight hitting metal cladding couldn’t be more perfect for me - it’s making my site visit extra rewarding!

Projects really stand out in these conditions, and the architecture comes alive. What a lovely day for a springtime trip to site!

It was really lovely to be invited into Sherburn High School last week to speak to their Year 12 media students about Creative Shed, my career and job role.

It's about 26 years since I was at this school and during our discussions it reminded me of how much technology has changed and how much choice there is available now for career development. I was given an 'Options' book - which was bigger than the yellow pages and simply told to pick a job! We had only just heard of the internet and social media didnt exist.....

Good luck to these students in their onward journey and thanks for listening to my story!
