The insight that changes everything 💡

In the world of SEO, there's one factor that can make or break your rankings: quality backlinks.

But here's what most businesses get wrong—they focus on quantity over quality, chasing hundreds of low-value links instead of building meaningful, authoritative connections.

The game-changer? Understanding that strategic link building isn't just about getting your name out there. It's about earning placements on relevant, high-authority sites that actually drive traffic, boost domain authority, and signal to search engines that your content is trustworthy.

When you shift your approach from "how many links can we get?" to "which links will genuinely impact our visibility?"—everything changes. Your rankings improve, your organic traffic grows, and your SEO investment actually delivers ROI.

Text links aren't the only way to build authority.

Visual Links are image-based backlinks placed on relevant websites — think infographics, lifestyle photos, product shots, or editorial visuals — that link back to your site when the image is referenced. And they're for any business, in any niche, at any scale.

Whether you're a service provider, an ecommerce brand, or somewhere in between, Visual Links work by getting your content placed naturally across the web in a way that feels authentic and editorial.

Google rewards content diversity, so Visual Links complement your Curated Links and Guest Posts to create a more natural-looking backlink profile — one that looks less like a strategy and more like a brand that the internet genuinely references.

If you're only building text links, you're only telling half the story.

They're not a replacement for traditional link building — they're a strategic addition that strengthens your entire backlink profile.

Most backlink services create new content and hope to get it published somewhere.

Curated Links do the opposite.

Instead of creating something from scratch, we insert your backlinks into already ranking content. Articles and blogs that Google already trusts. Pages that are generating traffic already.

Why does this matter?

Because these placements have a benefit from day 1. You're not waiting 3-4 months for a guest post to gain authority; you're leveraging authority that's already there.

Relevant. Natural. On aged, established domains.

It's link building that plays into the Google algorithm instead of against it, and it's the most affordable option to establish rankings without banking on something new and untested.

Your competition is building links. Are you building links the smarter way?

Most sites jump into link building with the expectations of buying a handful of backlinks, sitting back, and waiting for them to rank, only to find their rankings haven't changed.

Link building is not just about throwing a bunch of links at your site and hoping for the best. Link building is strategic. Yet, you can't strategise without asking the right questions before you spend a pound.

Three things you need to consider before embarking on your own link-building campaign:

1. What is my domain authority vs my competitors?

You won't know how much you need to catch up unless you know how far behind you are.

2. What keywords am I trying to rank for?

General link building efforts lead to generic results. Specificity matters.

3. What budget and time frame do I have?

SEO takes time, and knowing what you can invest in will help set realistic expectations.

Answer these three questions, and you'll build a campaign that actually moves your rankings instead of wasting money on links that go nowhere.

Are you ready to build?

Last week, we teased it. Now, it's live.

Think about the last time you searched for the best tool, service or software to compare options.

You probably didn't see ten blue links, and likely did not click on anything at all.

You asked AI. You scanned a shortlist. You compared options without leaving your LLM or Google and you made a decision.

Your customers are doing the same thing.

Some things haven't changed.

Authority still matters. Links still matter. And rankings do still matter.

But whether AI can find and cite you easily now makes a big difference to your success.

That's what listicle links are built for.

2500-5000 word guest posts in 'best of' listicle formats with a dofollow link back to your site. These are the real deal.

DA30 to DA60+ tiers available.

Building links without checking rankings is like driving with your eyes shut.

Sure, you're moving. You just have no idea if you're going anywhere good.

Link building is effective. But not when you fail to track the performance of your new placements. Are those placements helping your targeted keywords shift? Is there a better anchor text option compared to the rest? Is domain authority increasing?

If you don't know, you don't rank check. And if you don't rank check, you're wasting money.

Getting an ROI from your link building efforts versus failing to get an ROI is as simple as one option tracking its progress and the other hoping for the best.

Check your rankings. Pivot your strategy. Build better.

Google doesn't reward:

- Keyword stuffing your content until it's unreadable
- Buying hundreds of cheap links from irrelevant directories
- Publishing content daily just for the sake of hitting a quota

Google rewards:

- Authority from trusted, relevant sources
- Backlinks placed naturally within valuable content
- Consistent, strategic link building over time
- Sites that demonstrate genuine expertise and credibility

It's not rocket science. Google has been more than open about what it wants to see: quality, relevance, authority.

But it's clear that many brands are outdated. They're relying upon techniques that worked ten years ago and they're scratching their heads when they don't see results.

SEO in 2026 is not about fooling Google. It's about providing evidence to Google that it should rank your site above others. The best evidence that can be provided? Quality backlinks from sites that already have authority in Google's eyes.

Stop looking for shortcuts. Stop paying for bulk links. Stop hoping your daily blog posts will somehow improve rankings.

Start establishing authority the way Google really gives authority: through contextual backlinks that are relevant, high-quality and established in the first place.

The algorithm rewards those who play by the rules.

Are you one of them?

This week’s Google updates have made one thing even clearer:

AI is no longer a side feature in search. It is becoming a core part of how people discover, compare and choose businesses.

From more prominent AI Overviews to increasingly AI-led search experiences, your customers are not just searching in the old way anymore. They are asking, comparing and making decisions across Google, ChatGPT, Claude and other AI platforms.

Some things have changed.

Some things haven’t.

Authority still matters. Links still matter. But the type of links you build, and where your brand is mentioned, now matters more than ever.

We’re launching a new link type designed for this new search landscape.

We’ve already tested it, and it's driving serious results.

Next week, we’re making it available to you. 🦏

Why Link Farms Will Destroy Your SEO (And What to Do Instead) ⚠️

Link farms might promise hundreds of backlinks quickly and cheaply, but here's the reality: they're one of the fastest ways to tank your rankings.

Google's algorithms are designed to detect manipulative link schemes. When your site is connected to a network of low-quality, irrelevant sites that exist solely to pass links, you're not building authority—you're raising red flags.

The consequences? Penalties, loss of organic visibility, and in severe cases, complete de-indexing from search results. Even if you don't get hit immediately, these toxic links erode trust in your site over time.

The alternative? Strategic, ethical link building that focuses on getting real placements on relevant, authoritative sites in your industry. It takes longer, but it builds sustainable authority that actually improves your rankings and protects your site's reputation.

Shortcuts aren't worth the risk. Quality always wins in the long run.

"Link building is dead."

"Google doesn't value backlinks any longer."

"Just focus on good content and the links will naturally follow."

All false. And all causing businesses to lose their rankings.

Link building isn't dead; it's just changed. Those businesses still stuck in link-building patterns of 2010 are the ones who are suffering.

While it's true that Google's algorithm has gotten smarter over the years—able to sniff out a spammy link scheme from miles away—what once worked in 2010 no longer works. And what was once merely ineffective now carries a penalty.

Low-quality directories, automated link exchanges, and irrelevant blog comment links no longer just fall flat. They instead sink to the bottom of rankings and send sites to Google jail.

Yet quality backlinks remain one of the most prominent ranking factors Google uses.

Today, however, Google favors natural placement; links that make sense in context; links from authoritative sites in your niche; links that render quality to readers.

If you aren't link building because you think it's a thing of the past, you're missing out on valuable rankings. If you're link-building and buying cheap bulk links because you think quantity over quality works, you're wasting money.

Think smart. Build links that work.
