Is your website accessible?

Here's a quick checklist to find out.

1. Colour contrast
Text needs to be readable against its background. WCAG requires a minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for body text. Low contrast is one of the most common failures we see.

2. Alt text on images
Every meaningful image should have a text description. Screen readers rely on this and without it, a portion of your audience gets nothing.

3. Keyboard navigation
Can you move through your website using only a keyboard? If not, it's inaccessible to many users with motor impairments.

4. Clear heading structure
Headings aren't just visual, they help screen readers understand and navigate your page. A logical H1 → H2 → H3 structure matters.

5. Descriptive link text
"Click here" tells a screen reader user nothing. "Download our accessibility guide" tells them exactly where they're going.

These are just the basics and yet most websites we audit fail on at least two or three of them.

➤ You deserve a great website, without the price tag

A lot of small businesses put off getting a website because they assume it's too expensive or just not worth it right now.
