As the year comes to a close, I wanted to share a simple overview of what the Art Department at Vinci Books has produced since January. We’re a team of three, and these numbers reflect our combined output across the entire list:
650+ book covers (not including recreated series or killed concepts)
600+ paperback covers
600+ PTO
90+ A+ assets
1,000+ ad images
10+ print ads
8 banners
5 gold rings
And a tablecloth… on a pear tree?
Rebecca Bull joined us this year and immediately made an impact, taking on a large share of ads, paperbacks, PTO covers and producing several strong covers designs.
Andrew Davis has been consistently brilliant across the whole list, turning out high-quality work throughout – even while based in Bali for most of the year.
It’s also important to acknowledge how much of this relies on our Production team. Every paperback, box set and A+ asset sits on top of their work: blurb copy, Vellum files, metadata, technical checks, file prep and everything else that gets a book over the line.
And thank you to the Author Success team for keeping the information flowing and being the first line of defence for feedback.
