Do you know how valuable your vision, mission, culture and values are if you're looking to develop your business?...
Having them in place is so important!
It's one of the first things I ask to understand from any company that is looking to rebrand or design a new website or implement new marketing initiatives.
Quite simply, not having them in place means that there's little cohesion keeping the brand and the people within your business together.
Indeed, sometimes when conducting a brand review, and talking about these aspects, issues that the company are experiencing with people, motivation or client retention, can be resolved by aligning these statements before I even pick up a pen to design anything!
So, no matter what stage of business life-cycle you are in, whether a start-up, or multi-national (and yes there's still some large companies that haven't resolved this), create your vision, mission, culture statements, and values.
They will serve to guide your decisions and can be reviewed as you grow.
They will save you many hours of discussions about what you should be doing, saying, buying into, marketing, etc.
They will make decision making easier preventing you from going down too many dead ends that are not financially rewarding.
