Are Your Lead Water Pipes Affecting Your Health?

If your house was built before 1970 then there is a very good chance that the water pipe from the mains to your house or building is lead, and possibly some of the internal pipes too.

The dangers of lead poisoning are well known, but did you know what the main affects are?

Thames Water offers a lead pipe replacement grant of upto £500 (terms and conditions apply).

You should always use a Thames Water approved company to assess, advise and replace any lead water pipes.

Got a Groundwater Water Leak or Low Water Pressure? Who's Responsible & Who Pays to Fix it?
If you have a loss of water pressure, or worse, no water at all, then you could have a leak, burst or broken water pipe. Find that leak and deciding who's responsibility it is to fix it, is potentially complicated. The accepted wisdom is that the water company is responsible for the mains infrastructure up to your property's boundary, and either you or your landlord are responsible beyond that boundary.
