The autumn wind began to blow,
The golden leaves fell soft and slow.
They found a gutter, snug and deep,
And settled down for winter's sleep.
No rent to pay, no bills to meet,
A leafy home above the street.
The rain arrived, the water stayed,
And soon a little lake was made.
The homeowner sighed, “It'll be fine.”
The damp crept in, a warning sign.
What once was just a leafy bed,
Became a waterfall instead.
So heed this tale, both wise and true,
Before the rain comes pouring through.
For gutters blocked and roofs declined,
