I am thrilled to announce that I have been asked to be one of the judges at this year's Modern Methods of Construction Awards. 🏆 These are hosted in partnership with the Modular and Portable Building Association - an organisation that I have worked with since the late 1990s.

The award winners, which will showcase the very best of MMC, will be announced at an event in at the Regency Hyatt in Birmingham on Wednesday 8 May 2024.

I look forward to helping to recognise and celebrate some of the highlights, successes, people and innovations in the brilliant MMC sector over the past year. 📢

Many congratulations Annelee Roscoe on your appointment to the Premier Modular executive board. Well deserved. You are a fantastic role model for women in business, manufacturing and construction.

We are delighted to announce on International Women’s Day that Annelee Roscoe, who heads up our HR operations, has been appointed to the Executive Board of Premier Modular.

Commenting on her appointment, Annelee said, “These are such exciting times for the business. Our people are absolutely fundamental to our long-term success and are our most important asset. I relish the challenge of helping them reach their full potential.”

“The offsite sector really is a fantastic and fascinating industry to work in, incredibly fast-paced, and we are transforming UK construction. I firmly believe there are clear benefits to having women working in prominent roles and making an impact in our industry.”

Annelee joined Premier five years ago as HR Executive and has over 20 years’ experience in human resources. A member of the Chartered Management Institute, Annelee is currently studying for an MBA at the University of Hull.

A strong performance despite the current challenges

BUSINESS UPDATE - Despite the challenges of recent weeks, we are pleased to report that our modular building factory in East Yorkshire has remained open and at capacity throughout the current pandemic.

This is thanks to the resilience and flexibility of our teams across the business who have risen to the challenge and embraced the new ways of working.

We were already in a positive position to weather this storm. Our financial performance is one of the strongest in the offsite sector, having grown the Premier business year-on-year for both permanent bespoke offsite solutions and interim buildings for hire.

In the past month, we have recruited an additional 30 staff in our factory to help us meet the rising demand for our modular building solutions. This is helpful for the regional economy too.

Our priority remains to keep our colleagues safe, particularly on site and in the factory – and to continue to serve our customers.

A simply stunning example of offsite construction from The McAvoy Group

Commenting on the new offices built offsite by the McAvoy Group for Homes England, Stephen Proctor of architects Proctor & Matthews said: “This new office and exhibition space demonstrates how modern methods of construction can be harnessed to respond to local context and culture – here creating a flexible 21st century work environment for an edge of Fenland location.” We think the finished building is just stunning and combines the very best in architectural design and offsite manufacture.

Congratulations to The McAvoy Group - taking to another level.

2019 has been a challenging year with all the political and economic uncertainty around Brexit but we have continued to push the boundaries of offsite construction. We have won awards, delivered some exceptional buildings, participated in numerous high-profile conferences and have contributed to the national debate about the wider use of offsite manufacturing.

None of this would have been possible without our talented teams across the business, our brilliant supply chain partners and all our clients who have recognised the value of McAvoy offsite solutions. An enormous thank you to you all.

Another milestone for Deanestor Limited - awarded its largest furniture and fit out contract in the private residential sector

We have been awarded our largest contract to date in the private residential sector. This is a £4.3m project for John Sisk & Son to manufacture and fit out kitchens and furniture for one of the biggest private rental schemes in Manchester which is being developed by Vita Group. We are manufacturing and installing around 2000 wardrobes and 683 kitchens at Circle Square – a landmark regeneration scheme which will create a new urban neighbourhood.

Deanestor Limited has delivered its 15th hospital furniture and fitting out contract for Skanska – further evidence of its market leading position in the healthcare sector

We have completed a £1.1m contract for the supply and installation of furniture and fittings for over 1,600 rooms for the new Royal Papworth Hospital – the UK’s leading specialist heart and lung hospital. This contract is our 15th healthcare project for main contractor Skanska and involved the manufacture of nearly 2,000 base and wall cabinets, shelving units and worktops which we fitted throughout the new hospital http://bit.ly/2lUWjjF
