This Frappuccino is being raised to one of my clients because LOOK at what she's done in 90 days. 🥤👏

When we first spoke about Facebook Groups, she was nervous. What if it didn't work for her business? What if putting herself out into the local community felt uncomfortable? If people kept seeing her posts, wouldn't they eventually get sick of seeing her?

I completely understood why she felt like that. Putting your business in front of a lot more people can feel daunting when you're not used to doing it.

90 days later and her content has had **154,000 views, up 210%**, with **7,000 engagements, up 239%**. And the important part for me is that this visibility is coming from the local communities we're deliberately putting her business in front of.

So, are people sick of seeing her? Quite the opposite. They're engaging with the content, getting to know the business and, most importantly, new customers have come through the door.

This is exactly what we wanted to happen.

I know there will be other business owners reading this with the same worries she had before we started. Facebook Groups can feel like quite a big step when it means deliberately making yourself much more visible locally, but that's also the whole point. We WANT people to start recognising your business.

And it doesn't require a huge advertising budget or hours of your time every week either. I create the strategy, write the posts, find the right groups and handle the posting for you, so your business can keep being seen while you get on with running it.

So cheers to my client for feeling nervous and doing it anyway. 🥤❤️

If you're currently sitting in the *"but what if it doesn't work for me?"* camp, message me. Let's have a chat about whether it could.

I stumbled across this photo of my desk in my old house and it stopped me for a minute.

Because THIS is where The Media Locker really started.

At this little desk, squeezed into the corner of my kitchen and definitely not particularly Instagrammable 😂, I registered my business with Companies House, signed up for my first courses, started learning everything I could, sent out my first contract and began building something that, at the time, I had absolutely no idea where it would take me.

I'd come out of a corporate career after redundancy and decided that rather than finding another job, I was going to give myself a chance to build something I genuinely loved.

And this was it. Laptop, notebook, LOTS of coffee and a brand new business.

I don't think the Emma sitting at this desk would quite believe me if I told her what was coming.

That I'd go on to work with over 100 businesses. That I'd find a real love for helping local businesses get seen. That I'd be running content shoots, managing accounts, developing Facebook strategies, co-founding Bos Locker and building a business that's evolved into something much bigger than I imagined when I first started.

There have been plenty of changes along the way, including another house and definitely a different desk 😂, but finding this photo has reminded me just how much can happen from deciding to start.

Quite tempted to raise my coffee mug to her because she had absolutely no idea what she'd just begun.

Reviews like this make me so happy because this is exactly what I want someone to get from working with me.

Yes, I want your business to become more visible and I want you to see results, but I also want you to understand what we're doing and why we're doing it.

Especially with Facebook Groups, because it can feel like a completely different way of marketing your business when you've been used to posting on your own page and hoping the right people happen to see it.

There's a strategy behind it, but it doesn't need to feel complicated. Whether you want me to manage it for you or teach you how to do it yourself, the goal is the same... getting your business seen by more of the right people locally.

And when a client finishes working with me with results AND the confidence to carry on? I'm very happy with that. ❤️

I think this is a great reminder that your brand is about so much more than a logo or a colour palette.

It's the reputation you build, the experience people have when they work with you and what comes to mind when someone mentions your business.

Every time you show up online, you're giving people another opportunity to remember who you are and what you stand for.

That's the reason I started The Media Locker. Not to help businesses post more, but to help good local businesses become impossible to forget.

Life lately... ❤️

It's been a busy few months, but in all the best ways.

I've been spending a lot more time focusing on myself, both personally and physically. Working with has pushed me further than I thought possible, with climbing Snowdon being a definite highlight!

We managed a family holiday too, where I properly switched off for a bit... very needed!

Grace and I have been busy with Bos Locker, hosting events, looking at venues for 2027 and making some exciting plans for next year. 👀

The Media Locker has kept me busy with some brilliant businesses too, and it's been so rewarding seeing the results coming from the strategies we've been putting in place.

And possibly the cutest update... we're officially on the search for our first family dog. 🐶 We've got our hearts set on a Golden Retriever, so naturally there's been a LOT of puppy looking lately!

Amongst all of that, there's been plenty of time with family and friends and lots of memories made, which will always be the best bit.

A pretty good few months. ❤️ Now let's see what the rest of 2026 brings!

One thing not everyone realises is that alongside social media management, I also offer content shoots.

Some clients book them as part of their ongoing marketing, while others just need a one-off session to build up a bank of content they can dip into over the following weeks or months.

The best part is capturing all those little moments that are almost impossible to get when you're busy running your business. Whether it's behind the scenes, client interactions, your workspace or the details that make your business unique, it all helps tell your story in a much more natural way.

Once you've got that content, it can be turned into reels like this, as well as photos and posts that keep your business looking active without constantly having to reach for your phone.

I've realised I don't share enough of these shoots, so I'll be showing a lot more of them over the next few months.

For now, here's a little compilation of some recent content days. I hope you enjoy it! 😊

I love this quote because it applies to business just as much as it does to life.

People might not remember every conversation they've had with you, every social media post you've shared or every advert they've seen, but they will remember how your business made them feel.

That's why building trust, showing your personality and creating genuine connections will always be more valuable than chasing the latest trend.

The businesses people remember are often the businesses people recommend.

People are often surprised when I tell them I'd usually recommend Facebook first for a local service-based business.

That's not because Instagram doesn't work. It absolutely does. It just does a different job.

If you're trying to become well known in your local area, Facebook gives you something that's hard to replicate elsewhere. Local groups, recommendations from friends, community conversations and people actively asking for businesses like yours all happen there every single day.

That's why I spend so much time helping businesses make the most of Facebook. It's where I see local businesses building genuine visibility, becoming familiar names in their community and generating enquiries without feeling like they have to chase every new trend.

Instagram still has its place, but if I had to choose just one platform for most local businesses, I'd be putting my time into Facebook.

You don't need to be everywhere. You just need to make sure you're showing up where your future customers already are.

Looking back at my own page over the last year has been a good reminder that businesses don't need more marketing. They need better, more focused marketing.

The biggest difference hasn't been posting more. It's been having complete clarity about what I want people to associate with The Media Locker every time they see one of my posts.

The difference has been huge. Better visibility, better engagement and more conversations with exactly the kind of businesses I want to work with.

It's reinforced something I've believed for a long time. You don't have to be everywhere. You just need to be visible to the right people.
