"What happens when I stop getting as many enquiries?"
This is something clients ask me quite a lot.

They'll often start Facebook Group marketing and see a big spike in visibility, conversations and enquiries. Then things settle down a bit and the first thought is usually:

"Oh no... it's stopped working."

But before jumping to that conclusion, it's worth looking a little deeper.

Are your views still high?

If they are, people are still seeing your business. The Groups are still doing their job and bringing awareness to your name and what you do.

Are people still engaging with your posts?

Comments, likes, shares and conversations are all signs that people are paying attention, even if they aren't enquiring right now.

Then there's the type of service you offer.

Some services are a need. If someone's boiler breaks, they need an engineer. If they're buying a house, they need an estate agent. The enquiry often comes fairly quickly because they're already looking for help.

Other services are more of a want.

People might be interested, they might be watching your content, they might even know they want to work with you one day, but they're not quite ready yet.

That's why consistent visibility is so important.

If someone isn't ready today, you want them to still be seeing you next month when they are.

The biggest thing I've learnt from working with clients is that marketing isn't usually about finding a magic formula or a quick fix.

It's about understanding your service, understanding your customer journey and then showing up consistently enough that people remember you when they need you.

If you've got any questions about visibility, Facebook Groups or how this all works, feel free to ask.

Comment, DM, email... whatever's easiest 😊

Networking isn't about finding the "best" event. It's about finding the right event for you.

There are loads of networking events out there.

Some you'll absolutely love and some you'll go to once and decide they're not your thing, which is completely normal.

The important thing is finding a community where you feel comfortable, supported and able to be yourself.

If you're new here, our events are a little different.

You arrive, grab a tea, coffee and pastry, have some relaxed chats with other business owners and get to know people naturally.

Then the rest of the session is yours to use in whatever way helps you most.

You can spend time coworking, networking, getting things done in your business and you'll also receive either a 1:1 content shoot or marketing support session with Grace or me.

Every session is tailored to the people in the room because every business is at a different stage and needs different support.

If you've been thinking about trying Bos Locker but haven't quite got round to it yet, maybe this is your sign 😊

Comment FIRST and I'll send you details of our upcoming events, along with a discount code for your first visit.

No pressure. Just come along, meet some lovely people and see if we're what you've been looking for.

"Can I pause Facebook Group posting for a while and come back to it when things are less busy?"

Absolutely.

But it's important to understand the impact so you can make an informed decision.

I've actually been testing this myself over the last few months with my own business so I can show you exactly what happens.

The graph on the second slide shows my page views over the last 90 days.

Those spikes? That's when I was actively posting into Facebook Groups.

Everything in between? That's when I wasn't.

As you can see, the difference is huge.

When you stop posting, your visibility drops dramatically. Your ideal clients stop seeing you regularly, which means you're no longer staying top of mind.

Before I started this experiment, I had a waiting list for my Facebook Group Strategy service.

I've still had enquiries come in, but I'm no longer running a waiting list.

That's not a problem for me because this was a deliberate test.

What it does show, though, is that if you go quiet for a period of time, starting again isn't always like turning on a tap.

Depending on your industry, your audience may need time to warm up again. They need to see you consistently, be reminded you exist and build trust before they're ready to enquire or book.

That's why consistent visibility matters.

When you have diary space, cancellations or new availability, you've already got people seeing your business and remembering what you do.

That said, this isn't always about carrying on exactly as you are.

Sometimes the answer isn't stopping completely. It's adjusting the strategy to support a busier season in your business or life.

That's why I always encourage clients to have the conversation first.

As always, I'll support whatever decision is right for you. I just think it's important to understand the trade-off before making it.

Have you ever stopped marketing for a while and noticed the impact afterwards?

My birthday was on Monday and it got me thinking...

As business owners, we're always so busy looking ahead to the next thing that we rarely stop and celebrate the milestones along the way.

So, to celebrate my birthday, I wanted to put together an offer that would genuinely help another business owner rather than just offering a random discount.

Because if you're a business owner, especially if you're also juggling children over the summer holidays, you've probably had this thought at least once...

"I don't want my social media to disappear for six weeks."

The school holidays roll around, your routine changes, clients are away, the kids are home and before you know it, your social media has completely fallen off the radar. (we've all been there!)

That's exactly why I've created the Summer Survival Social Check-Up.

🎂 Birthday Special | £78

✔ A personalised audit and action plan via Loom
✔ A 20-minute 1:1 call where you can ask me anything
✔ A bespoke 6-week summer content plan
✔ 12 tailored content ideas with guidance on exactly what to talk about and how to approach each post*
✔ Optional upgrade available if you'd like me to create the content for you too

* NB: This isn't a generic list of content ideas. Everything is tailored to your business, your audience and your goals so you know exactly what to post throughout the summer holidays.

The aim is simple - to help you stay visible, keep your marketing moving and remove the stress of wondering what on earth you're going to post when life gets busy.

I'm limiting this to just 5 businesses as each audit and content plan is created personally by me.

If you'd like one of the spaces, send me a message with the word SUMMER and I'll send over the details ☀️

I think one of the reasons people end up hating social media is because it starts feeling like you’re constantly trying to sell to people 😅

Especially on Facebook. You know the groups work and your ideal clients are sat in them every day, but finding the time to post consistently into them all is another story… and honestly, it’s boring 😂

That’s why I started offering Facebook Group Strategy support.

I do the group posting side for you so your business is still getting seen without you having to spend your evenings copying and pasting posts into multiple different groups wondering if you’ve already posted in that one or not

The nice part is it means YOU get to just be reactive instead.

Replying to comments, having proper conversations and chatting to people naturally when they interact with your posts instead of feeling like you constantly need to “market yourself”.

It genuinely brings the social bit back into social media again.

Just your business consistently showing up in front of the right people while you get on with everything else you’ve already got going on.

If you’ve been feeling a bit fed up with social media lately, want a bit of this kind of support and want fresh leads into your business, feel free to message me for a chat

I mean Seriously...how? 😅

It is crazy how time is flying so fast this year. I have managed to tick off one of my big goals this week so I have 2 big ones left for the year. How are you getting on with yours?

So… here is the very overdue catch up from weeks 12–20 😂

This feels like a blur looking back through my camera roll because there has been A LOT happening behind the scenes over the last couple of months.

There’s been client filming days, content shoots, meetings, coffees, events, business growth, exciting results, new ideas, Bos Locker planning, little family moments, a few days away, and trying very hard to remember I’m also a human outside of work too 😅

I feel like the images I have collected capture the highlights so I won't delve into it all anymore here, but one thing I’ve realised recently is this…

Even during the periods where I wasn’t posting loads myself, the foundations I’d built were still working behind the scenes.

Enquiries were still coming in.
People were still finding me.
Clients were still getting brilliant results.

And that’s exactly what I want for the businesses I work with too.

Visibility that feels sustainable.
Marketing that supports your business instead of completely consuming it.
Systems and strategies that still work even when life gets busy for a minute.

Anyway… thank you for still being here even while my “weekly” catch ups disappeared for about two months 😂

I’m hoping to get back into sharing more of the behind the scenes again because I’ve actually missed it.

Although… full honesty… life and business are still very busy so there is a strong chance these may quietly turn into monthly catch ups instead 😂

Maybe that’s why everyone else does monthly ones.

Oh well. Live and learn.

I’ve had it in the back of my mind for a while now that I haven’t done a proper weekly roundup post in SO long.

I’ve shared the odd post here and there, but my consistency definitely flew out the window a little bit for a while 😂

I created those weekly roundups for myself, so I don’t feel like I’ve “failed” because I stopped posting them for a bit. It was simply a pause.

Behind the scenes, things got really busy and something had to give… and for a little while, that was my own content.

That’s ok though.

Business and life aren’t linear, you go through busy seasons, quieter seasons, periods where you’re pushing hard and periods where you need to adjust things as you go. There’s no perfect formula for any of it.

One thing I’m really grateful for is that even during quieter posting periods, I was still receiving enquiries.

That’s exactly why I talk so much about creating visibility in a way that supports your business without burnout.

Your marketing shouldn’t completely fall apart because you needed to take your foot off the pedal for a moment.

Weekly catch ups will be returning this weekend and I’ll share a little behind the scenes of what’s been going on lately.

But for now, I just wanted to post this for anyone else who feels like things haven’t quite gone to plan recently. You aren't failing you're adjusting.

I had a client recently who was brilliant at what they did, but their marketing kept slipping down the list. They would post when they remembered, disappear when things got busy, and quietly worry that people were forgetting about them.

Once we started working together, we did not overhaul everything overnight. We simply put a structure in place, focused on getting their business visible in the right Facebook groups, and made sure their content reflected what they actually offered.

Within a few weeks, people started recognising their name, enquiries picked up and most importantly, they felt more in control of their business again.

That is how I work.

Calm, consistent support. No pressure to do everything at once. No complicated marketing plans. Just steady visibility in the places your customers are already spending time.

Because marketing should support your business, not add more stress to it.

And if you have been thinking you probably need help but keep putting it off, this is your reminder that support does not have to feel overwhelming. Sometimes it simply means having someone alongside you to keep things moving.

I’m Emma, a Facebook strategy specialist helping businesses increase their visibility and awareness so their clients find them without spending loads of money on ads.
