We have some exciting news to share… Signs Express Southampton & Wi******er are moving to a bigger and better building! 🎉

As we make the move, we just wanted to give you a little heads-up that there will be some temporary disruption to our usual service.

Friday 14th August - Our IT systems will be moving across, so you may experience some delays with emails, enquiries, and general communication throughout the day.

Monday 17th August - We will be moving all of our machinery into our new premises, which means production will be temporarily closed for the day.

We’ll be doing everything we can to keep disruption to a minimum, but there may be some delays while we get everything up and running in our new home.

We really appreciate your patience and understanding while we make this exciting move. We’ll be back up and running as quickly as possible!

We’re incredibly excited about what this move means for the future and can’t wait to show you our new home. 👀

A recent project we completed for St Mary’s CE Primary School, featuring these bespoke flat-cut external letters mounted directly onto the brickwork.

A simple but really effective way to give the building a strong, professional identity while keeping the character of the original brickwork. 👌

Signs Express Southampton & Wi******er

Full Time | Permanent | Monday to Friday

The Role
This is a varied role that combines artwork, design, pre-press and production support. You'll be responsible for taking client concepts through to production-ready artwork while ensuring everything leaving the studio is accurate, practical to manufacture and delivered on time.
You'll work closely with our sales, production and installation teams, helping turn ideas into high-quality finished signage.
Key Responsibilities
• Producing artwork for a wide range of signage, vehicle graphics, wall graphics, wayfinding, exhibitions and printed products
• Creating print-ready files using Adobe Illustrator and the Adobe Creative Suite
• Setting up artwork for large-format digital printing, vinyl cutting and CNC production
• Checking supplied artwork and making amendments where required
• Creating proofs for client approval
• Liaising with customers via email and telephone regarding artwork and design queries
• Working with the production team to ensure artwork is suitable for manufacture
• Maintaining organised job files and artwork archives
• Assisting with print, finishing and quality control when required
• Working to deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail

About You
We're looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, has an eye for detail and takes pride in producing high-quality work.
Ideally you'll have:
• Excellent Adobe Illustrator skills (essential)
• Good working knowledge of Photoshop and InDesign
• Experience preparing artwork for print
• Strong understanding of colour, layout and typography
• Excellent organisational skills
• The ability to manage multiple jobs simultaneously
• Good communication skills
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
Desirable (but not essential)
• Experience within the signage, graphics or large-format print industry
• Experience operating large-format printers or vinyl cutters
• Experience using Apple Mac computers
• Knowledge of materials, vinyls and signage manufacture

A sign of good things to come ✨

We've loved working with Forte Pilates to help bring their branding to life across their new studio.

From the fascia sign that catches your eye, to the window graphics and acrylic signage that complete the space inside, every detail was produced and installed by our team.

It's always rewarding to see a project come together and even better when the finished result looks this good.

Not every sign project starts from scratch! Check this before and after out!

For this project at Southampton Airport, we refurbished the existing sign tray rather than replacing it. It was carefully stripped back, prepared and reused, reducing waste while giving the sign a completely new lease of life.

The finished result features brushed stainless steel built-up letters with halo illumination, delivering a sleek, premium appearance that looks right at home in a modern airport environment.

A great example of how refurbishment can be both cost-effective and sustainable without compromising on impact.

A different type of post today!

At Signs Express Southampton, everyone gets stuck in when needed, and when you work in signage, every day is different!.

It made a nice change for Chloe, who is usually busy looking after customers and managing projects from her desk, to get hands-on helping remove the graphics from José's Le Mans car.

No two days are ever the same in the signage industry and that's exactly why we love it!
