Canva inspo? Go for it! ✨

I see so many debates about using Canva for logos, but here’s my take: If a client finds inspiration from a template, that’s totally fine! As long as you (or your designer) add a unique twist and recreate it properly in the right software and formats, then why not?

A logo needs to be scalable, high-quality, and versatile for all uses—whether it’s on a website, packaging, or a giant billboard. That’s where professional design steps in to make it yours and ensure it works everywhere.

Here’s some juicy social media updates you NEED to know:

📉 TikTok went dark in the US on Sunday (chaos), but it came back hours later. Meanwhile, influencers took the moment to spill “secrets” — quick wins, but trust issues much?

📱 Instagram is out here doing the most:
→ Tall vertical profile grids are being tested (you can realign your posts via the three dots)… I’m even posting this in 1:1 to prove it can still look beaut 👏🏼
→ Reels can now be 3 minutes long.
→ “Edits” is coming 13th March — think CapCut vibes but within IG.
→ Highlights are moving to their own tab.
→ You can now post directly to your grid and bypass the feed.
→ Reel likes? Your friends can now see them (activity feed, we miss you 🥲).
→ Testing a DISLIKE button for comments.

🙄 X (Twitter) and Bluesky are both rolling out vertical feeds.
🧐 TikTok is playing around with new search features like thumbnail suggestions and “others searched for.”

It’s a lot, I know. But not everything is permanent, so don’t panic. Flexibility is key!

Sometimes, when I’m overwhelmed with socials or work in general, it’s because I know I’m stuck in a funk and need to let my creativity flow. Flow without any time pressures. So try it today if you’re feeling the same, 0 judgement! You never know where it could lead…💡✨

It’s been a cold minute since I last posted.

From the Christmas rush, to illnesses, my birthday & a festive period, I’ve not had a second.

But the end to 2024 was a transformative and magical one. I’ve got so many plans and goals for 2025, who’s with me?

And while I’m feeling motivated, it’s not to say that I don’t believe January should be a time for quiet contemplation, stillness & 0 pressure. It’s still winter, get cosy & think about what you want for the new year, we don’t have to action it just yet.
