You can’t read the label when you’re inside the jar.

What’s this barmpot on about now? 🤣

Well, for a while, I was very much inside the jar 👀

Trying to work out which of my skills to shout about and which to leave behind.

And it was paralysing me.

The thing that had me stuck wasn’t my skillset.

It wasn’t my confidence. It wasn’t even imposter syndrome doing its usual thing, the absolute turd that it is 💩

I was defining myself by the tools in my toolkit instead of the change I create.

And I’ll bet I’m not the only one guilty of that.

Brilliant entrepreneurs can do a LOT of cool stuff.

And instead of that being a superpower, it becomes the thing that makes you feel impossible to categorise.

Because humans bloody LOVE putting people in boxes.

The breakthrough for me was realising I don’t need to choose a tool.

I need to get clear on the outcome.

Branding.
Messaging.
Visibility.
Networking.
Business development.
Strategy.
Confidence.

They’re not the destination. They’re the vehicle.

I’ve spent twenty years fostering skills, instincts and experience across industries.

That’s not a problem to manage. That’s a competitive advantage.

Why would I deny the women I work with access to all of that just so I’m easier to categorise?

Multifaceted isn’t a flaw. It’s commercially savvy.

So if you’re sitting there editing yourself down to make yourself more palatable, pack it in!

You don’t need to shrink yourself.

You need better messaging.

Don’t shrink the person.

Sharpen the story.

As for me?

I help women in business get clear on what makes them magnetic and turn visibility into demand, recognition and income.

That’s the outcome.

Everything else is just the toolkit.

Basically, I’m like a sexy Bob the Builder 👷‍♀️

Can we fix it?

Yes we bloody can 🤣✨

Imagine.

I used to sing this John Lennon classic at most of my gigs. I did stop but I think the words are now more poignant and important than ever so I did it for sound check last night 🔈

With the rich turning the poor on each other, while Elon Musk becomes the world’s first trillionaire, richer than 46% of the world’s poorest people (around 4 BILLION PEOPLE), it made me question the impact of extreme capitalism on democracy.

How can one person hold so much wealth and power?

He spends most of his time on Twitter stoking the fires of resentment and division when actually he could end extreme poverty globally with around 10% of his wealth.

I read this all this morning in a profound article by the London Economist.

Absolutely staggering 🤯

The richest need to keep you poor to feed their wealth. Reform and Trump are not trying to help you.

Maybe I am a dreamer. Too many people are quick to hate and leap to whataboutism, when the reality is the richest amongst this planet are just looking after themselves. Us minions need to wise up and look after one another.

Video is a bit wobbly as my son filmed it and he is 10! 🤣

Your brand looks gorgeous. Your content still isn’t landing. And you can’t work out why.

Well, big mouth here is gonna tell you: your brand isn’t branding hard enough.

It’s sitting there looking nice. Being agreeable. Not repelling anyone, not gripping anyone either. A pretty logo and a nicely neutral palette that limp by your audience when they should be pulling them into your world.

Branding isn’t a noun you own. It’s a verb your brand does. It’s your photos, your fonts, your colours, your copy and your whole customer journey working overtime to make someone FEEL something before they’ve read a single word of your offer.

And right now? Yours is doing the bare minimum.

That’s a brand that isn’t branding hard enough. And no amount of fixing your content will save it.

You can have every element looking gorgeous and still be invisible. Because pretty isn’t the same as magnetic. And a brand that doesn’t make anyone feel anything is a brand nobody gives a s**t about.

The women who hire me aren’t untalented. They’re skilled, ambitious and completely overlooked, held back by the holy-moly trinity of visibility paralysis: imposter syndrome, comparisonitis and perfectionism. They’ve been told to fix their content. What they actually need is a brand that works as hard as they do.

This is for the woman who is done blending in and ready to be the one people remember.

That’s the work. Brand storytelling that makes them feel seen. A customer journey that makes them stay. Photos, fonts, colours and copy that finally sing from the same song sheet and sound unmistakably like YOU.

Not sure how hard your brand is actually working? Start with the quiz. Find your brand archetype and see exactly what makes you magnetic!

What is your “soul purpose”? You know, the thing that fills you up, gives you a fire in your belly, makes you feel alive?

Have you found it?

Are you living it?

Or are you putting it off until you have more confidence, more money, more time or someone else’s permission?

I live by the mantra:

✨ JOY
✨ ABUNDANCE
✨ ME-F**KING-FIRST

It’s my JAM.

Because without joy, what are we even doing this for?

Joy is fuel. It’s purpose. It’s the thing that keeps you moving when life gets hard.

When you’re clear on what brings you joy, you stop building a life that looks good to others and start building one that feels good to you.

Then there’s abundance.

I was raised to be wary of wanting too much. To see ambition as greed.

So I became a conduit for everyone else’s success.

Money flowed through me, not to me.

Opportunities flowed through me, not to me.

Time, energy and ideas flowed outward.

But not anymore.

I’m welcoming abundance. I’m learning to welcome it in and hold it.

More wealth.
Better health.
More joy.
More freedom.
More choice.

Because I can support other people and create a beautiful life for myself.

Both can be true.

And then there’s ME FIRST.

Not in a selfish way, in a “I’ve spent long enough coming last” way.

When I was losing my mum, I came after her.

As a mum, I often came after everyone else too.

But now I’m in my IDGAF era.

I still love deeply.I still care fiercely. I still want good things for others.

But I finally recognise that I matter too.

We’re not passengers in our own lives.

We’re not here to survive on breadcrumbs.

We don’t have to wait for someone else to choose us.

We get to choose.

We get to steer the ship.

No more settling. No more shrinking. No more people-pleasing.

My oxygen mask goes on first because we only have so much time in this world.

And I don’t want to spend mine waiting.

How are you choosing yourself these days?

What’s YOUR JAM? Let me know below! 👇

It’s not about fitting in.

Not in your brand. Not in your content. Not in your business.

Sometimes this whole online world feels like a popularity contest. A parade of aesthetics over substance. Style over depth. But it’s not REAL.

YOU are real.

Share your story.
Share why you give a f**k.
Share what keeps you going when things get hard.
Share why YOU.
Why NOW.
And why what you do matters.

Connection beats vapid, egocentric bulls**ttery every single time.

People don’t remember perfectly curated.

They remember personality.
They remember courage.
They remember different.
They remember the woman who wasn’t afraid to take up space.

So stop editing out the best bits.

Stop watering down your personality because some boring bastard decided it wasn’t “professional”.

F**k professional.

F**k expectations.

I’m not interested in fitting into someone else’s box.

Me and the women in my world deal in standards.

The standard of being yourself. The standard of saying what you mean. The standard of building something with substance behind it.

I didn’t want to be one of the cool kids at school and I’m definitely not arsed for it now, even if it does feel more like a playground than business space sometimes.

Grab a pew.

I’m just getting started.

Are you SITTING ON A THRONE OF LIES? 👑

(OK, so maybe not lies 🫠)

But if you’re showing up as an edited-down version of yourself, it’s not exactly the truth, either, is it...

The truth is that you’re funny AF - but your audience only sees professional.

Maybe you’re wildly creative - but your audience only sees straight-laced.

Or perhaps you’ve got important things to say - but your audience only sees neutral and agreeable 🤷‍♀️

The thing is that could be a weird, wonderful, complicated, brave, hilarious, intelligent, adventurous and emotional HUMAN BEING but somewhere along the way you decided some of those parts were best kept hidden.

ARGGGHHHHHH you’re editing out the best bits!

You’re trying to fit into what you THINK they want.

Toning down your personality because you don’t want to be “too much”.

Avoiding posting because being visible feels vulnerable.

Hiding your opinions because someone may disagree.

Then you wonder why your content isn’t landing!

People can only connect with the parts of you that you allow them to see. (Not like that, cheeky! 😂)

If you are only showing the edited-down version of who you are don’t be surprised when people miss the bits they could genuinely resonate with.

The women smashing their content right now aren’t necessarily the most experienced, most accomplished or most stylised. They’re the ones who stopped making themselves palatable. The ones openly being vibrant, complex, multidimensional beings ✨

You aren’t going to be everyone’s cup of coffee - and that’s EXACTLY the point.

The goal isn’t to be more likeable to everyone. It’s to become more visible to those who need what you do most.

Let your personality act like your BAT SIGNAL to all the people who need you!

Wanna know more about your brand personality gaps and how to resolve them without losing you?

(Yes, it’s been a while since I spent an inordinate amount of time on a carousel but what of it?! 😂)
