Things ain’t always what they seem in this place 🍑

I am most definitely NOT naked in this picture 🤣but it did look like I’d turned up to our final X APPEAL session completely starkers. (Strapless top. Terrible angle. Perfect comic timing 😆)

But that line’s truer than the joke.

From the outside, it probably looked like I had it all figured out. Showing up. Posting. Visible AF.

Inside? I was THIS 🤏 close to packing it all in.

The content wasn’t landing. I had a lot of fans and supporters but that doesn’t pay the bills. And I was wondering if I just wasn’t cut out for this.

Turns out I wasn’t failing because I’m not good enough.
I was just on the wrong path 🤷🏻‍♀️

Everyone had an opinion on what I should be doing, to the point I didn’t even know what that looked like anymore 😢

I removed all my offers. Walked away from the thing I actually
get chased for. But STILL women kept coming to me for design work!

Because that’s the magic I make ✨

I get women OUT of the wings and into the spotlight. Brands centre stage, lit up, impossible to ignore and creating impact on your terms. Design, branding, websites, the whole presence. I know how to get you noticed.

For a while I forgot to focus on what I wanted and what I’m brilliant at. So consider this me, naked, owning it 😜

The women on that final call? Walking away with the lightbulbs, the clarity, the ah-ha’s that turn “one day” into “this week.”

They don’t feel ready. They feel emboldened. Ready waits. Emboldened moves.

So if you’re standing at the edge of giving up right now, read this TWICE. You might just need to get off the wrong f*cking road and back onto YOUR path.

“Not another bloody AI trend!” 👀

I keep seeing the posts. The eye rolls. The “not another AI trend” energy every time something new lands and people start joining in.

So I went looking for the actual facts. Not opinions. Not feelings. Just the numbers.

Here’s what I found.

One AI image uses roughly a shot glass of water.

A quarter-pounder burger uses the same water as around 54,000 AI images.

A cup of coffee uses more water than hundreds of prompts.

A return flight to New York emits about the same carbon as nearly 180,000 AI images.

The biggest drivers of personal carbon footprint are diet, transport, home energy, and flights. Not AI prompts.

Now, AI at scale isn’t nothing. Data centres are growing and that’s a real conversation worth having, it really is.

But on an individual level, one woman making a cartoon of herself for a laugh is genuinely a drop in the ocean compared to the everyday things most of us do without a second thought.

My take?

Kindness over selective rage.

If AI trends aren’t for you, scroll on. Completely valid.

But publicly shaming women for joining in something fun whilst the rest of life carries on as normal feels a little off to me.

We’re all making choices every day. None of us are doing it perfectly. And life’s too short to be miserable at people for enjoying themselves 🤷🏻‍♀️ no one is making you join in. Same as I’ll be staying away from those burgers 🍔

“If she’d have kept on going down that way, she’d have gone straight to the castle!”

This line kept resounding in my head when I was in Windsor on Friday! 🤯

I’ve got the worm that said this tattooed on my arm. In the film (IYKYK and you’re defo my people!), the worm tells Sarah (the main protagonist) “NEVER GO THAT WAY!” And he sends her off on a route that takes her miles from where she actually needed to be (it’s painful to watch! 🤦🏼‍♀️) He doesn’t even know where she’s trying to get to. He just assumes she wouldn’t want the castle 🏰

That’s everyone who’s ever told you to tone it down. Be more polished. Stop being so much. They don’t know your goal. They’re just steering you away from the wall they can’t see through.

Sometimes the long way round teaches you what you needed to know. I’ve taken the scenic route more times than I can count, and every detour has shaped the woman writing this post.

But I’m done taking directions from little worms.

I’m going straight to the bloody castle!

When a snake sheds its skin, it goes temporarily blind. Sound familiar?

That foggy, can’t-see-the-next-step, who-the-f**k-am-I-becoming feeling? That’s not a breakdown. That’s a shed.

I had a client recently who was clinging on to one of those clients. You know the ones. The kind that drain you, dim you, and have you questioning whether you’re cut out for any of this.

She didn’t need a pep talk. She didn’t need cheerleading thrown at her like confetti. She needed direction. She needed someone to look her dead in the eye and tell her it was possible, and then show her how.

So I reflected her brilliance back to her. I showed her what was actually possible if she stopped white-knuckling the version of her business that no longer fit. I asked her how it would FEEL when she’d taken those next steps. Not leaps. Productive baby steps. A mild stretch that allows for regrowth.

Because here’s what nobody tells you about scaling: the future lives in the unshackling. The shedding of the clients, the patterns, the identities that drain us or keep us small.

There has to be a death of the old thinking before the rebirth.

And yes, you’ll go temporarily blind in the middle of it. You’ll lose your bearings. You won’t recognise yourself. You’ll wonder if you’ve made a terrible mistake.

You haven’t.

You’re shedding 🐍

And what’s underneath is the version of you that finally gets to be seen, chosen and paid her worth.

In Windsor ready for with ✨🤌

Not only is this a gorgeous place, I even found the shop where I bought my new socks online this week!

Recorded this like a travel log because I felt like a solo traveller with a splash of Judith Chalmers rather than the Punch & Judy show my kids usually recreate for me!

I also bumped into ahead of the event - both out on solo dates! 🤣 paid for our own meals though - always 50/50 in relationships, according to Beyoncé!
