Let me tell you about Gumbet — because I've been in the travel industry for eight years, and this is one of those locations I come back to time and again when people ask me where they'll get the most from a Turkish holiday.

Gumbet sits in the Bodrum area, and "everything on your doorstep" isn't marketing language here. It's simply what the place delivers. The beach is a five-minute walk. Bodrum town — the marina, the castle, the restaurants, the nightlife — is fifteen minutes on foot along the seafront. The water sports are right there on the sand. The local restaurants, bars, and shops are woven through the streets around you. You step outside and the holiday begins immediately. That's what I mean.

Jasmin Elite Residence & Spa is a self-catering apartment property that fits Gumbet perfectly. Modern, well-equipped studios — pool or garden view — in a residence with a great spa, an outdoor pool, and an indoor pool for when you want to swim without the August sun overhead. A pool bar serving premium drinks and an à la carte restaurant on site for the evenings you don't want to go out. Six blocks, 91 rooms — compact, personal, not a giant resort.
