💜📣A Message From Our Founder📣💜

With less than four weeks to go our founder, Gayle, has a message for you.

We need your help! Can you help our crochet and knitting group create 2557 butterflies?

Between the 20th of June and 5th of July A Crochet of Mine will be displaying a beautiful installation in St Mary's Church in Stafford which will coincide with our National Bereaved Parents Day. We want to create a space for bereaved parents and their families to come and remember and share their love for the beautiful children and babies that are missing from their arms. We want bereaved parents everywhere to know that there is always a place for the love and memories of their children.

Our hearts are full of love and warmth from the amount of support they have received from our extended community, but we still need more help to achieve their goal.

2557 butterflies carries an immense weight as it represents the estimated number of parents who experienced the devastating heartbreak of bereavement last year across Staffordshire alone. A grief that no parents should ever have to carry, the loss of a child, baby or pregnancy.

Can you play a part in this beautiful project that will mean so much to so many by crocheting or knitting Butterflies for National Bereaved Parents Day 2026.

The butterflies can be of ANY size and from ANY pattern we only ask that they remain in tones of:
🩷Pink
💜Purple
🤍Creams/white
