“Excellent, deep, weirder grooves from Matthew Dear”

Ransom Note premieres Matthew Dear’s “Head In The Clouds,” taken from his New Drug release on Salon Records. The track arrives as part of a collectable 7” vinyl run alongside releases from Bruno Pronsato and REWORK, with both Dear and Pronsato’s offerings receiving radio love on BBC 6 Music from Deb Grant.

“Thank ‘U’ for everything, ‘A’ new chapter in my life.” - CHRIS STASSY 🎙️

One letter changes. Everything else stays the same. The first release under the Up The Stuss founder’s new name arrives 28th August with ‘U know me’ feat. Marz Fay, landing the same day as his return to Creamfields.

Before then, N.A.M.E. - Chris’ free party series created to celebrate and give back to the community behind the music - returns for two special dates in Birmingham on 22nd August, followed by Amsterdam on 27th.

Then it’s straight into the next chapter, heading to Pukkelpop for his debut under the new name, before Ibiza dates at Antonio Carbonaro, Music On, and M E T A M O R F O S I, plus Music & Art In Obscure Places Festival, ARC Music Festival, Deep Tropics Festival, S P A C E and more.

Resident Advisor shares news of Axel Boman launching his new label, Blurry, with its first release seeing the Stockholm-based artist link up with Kompakt affiliate Superpitcher for a ten-track LP, Tell It To The Mountain.

The album is set to drop on 25 September digitally and on 2x12” vinyl, with the single True Crime available everywhere now.

Adam Freeland’s seminal Marine Parade label is back with the ‘Transhuman’ EP from Freeland and Spooky’s Duncan Forbes. 

Ending the label’s 17-year hiatus, the ‘Transhuman’ EP sees Freeland channel his love of dub techno and broken beats to usher in a new iteration of the label that helped define the breaks sound of the early 2000s. Already in the boxes of the likes of Om Unit, Maher Daniel, Laurent Garnier, Radio Slave, Seth Troxler and more, and with nods from Mixmag, BBC Radio 6 Music, and Tom Ravenscroft on Rinse FM, this is a triumphant return for the label.
