Cloudflare issue now resolved. All websites are loading normally.

We posted earlier today about a major issue with the third-party Cloudflare service, which stores DNS records for many websites.

They experienced an outage that caused sites to be unavailable for around three hours. Not all sites were offline for the full duration; some were down only briefly, and others weren’t affected at all.

As this was an external issue, we had to wait for Cloudflare to resolve it. The good news is that they confirmed everything was back to normal as of 2:42pm.

All our client websites are loading normally again from what we can see. If you’re still experiencing any issues, please reply here, email [email protected] or call us on 01738 700 006 and we’ll look into it right away.

Global Cloudflare issue affecting many websites.

There is a major issue right now with the Cloudflare service that is affecting millions of websites, worldwide. Many of our Inspire websites are included in that. If you notice your website offline at the moment, that will be cause.

The issue is not related to the server the websites are hosted on at all. It is do with Cloudflare, where the DNS records for many domains are held. It's normally one of the most reliable services in the world and it's extremely unusual for it to go down like this.

We are monitoring the situation closely. Cloudflare is providing updates on https://www.cloudflarestatus.com too. The specific incident status link is https://www.cloudflarestatus.com/incidents/8gmgl950y3h7

We have to wait for them to resolve and update the issue as we have no control over it from our side. We'll keep you posted here with further updates as they become available.

If the outage lasts longer than one hour, we may move DNS records away from Cloudflare. This process takes time and does not update right away, which is why we are waiting to see how quickly Cloudflare resolves the issue.
