That’s why our Creative Director, Grant Mitchell, recently took part in a portfolio review event for Ladies, Wine & Design Manchester, hosted by Katie Mihailovits and Holly Gleave.

Grant joined an incredible line-up of fellow creative leaders to review portfolios and offer advice. It was a brilliant evening full of energy, ambition and beautiful thinking – proof that when we make space for each other, we make the work and the industry more beautiful too.

Last Thursday the design team headed down to Process Events to hear from Mel Yates and Kyle Wilkinson.

We loved hearing Mel’s honest journey from agency life to freelance Creative Director – how she’s embraced being her own boss and the real, unfiltered truths that come with it.

Kyle reminded us that there’s no one-size-fits-all path in this industry. What you give is what you get. He introduced us to HAUS OF THRILLS, a standout case study in self-belief, passion and pushing yourself closer to where you want to be.

Last week our Senior Designer took part as a Mentor at this year’s Two+Two UK, in the brand new Stockport Exchange 3. The day was really fantastic and such a delight to see all the students brimming with ideas and raring to go, from the off.

Big thanks to Phil C. for asking us to get involved. We’d highly recommend any student to take part, the experience was invaluable for both mentors and students alike!

Huge congratulations to the winning team – Red Snakes! Can’t wait to see where the campaign goes!

We’re feeling inspired after heading down to last night’s Common Interest at Band on the Wall.
It was great to hear story; from designer at Pentagram to performance artist and all her confessions to her parents, who were there too. It was lovely listening to Mike Garry’s poems of Manchester in between. Ending the night with Max Ottignon on how to be different in the world of brand, showing us their processes at Ragged Edge and how they involve their clients throughout.

Thank you for hosting such a fantastic evening, we can’t wait for the next one!
